---STORY---

There are a million storys in liberty city. This one changes everything. Once a trusted wise guy in the leone crime family, Toni Cipriani was forced into hiding after killing a made man. Now he's back and it's time for things to be put right.
The streets of liberty cityare in turmoil. Warring mafiosi vie for control as the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organised crime, drug trafficing and union strikes. No one can be trusted as Toni tries to clean up the mess of the city's chaotic underworld. Deranged hit men, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicains and his own mother stand in hi way as Toni tries to bring the city under leone control
Forced to fight for his life in an odyssey that will shake liberty city to its foundations, Toni must use any means necessary to secure his place in the leadership of the leone family in a town up for grabs.

---COST---

If you are buying this on PSP it will cost you around £29.99 which is almost double the price of the PS2 version which is now around £17. The PSP version is the same as the PS2 version but it allows you to use custom tracks while playing the game instead of listening to the in game radio. I own the PSP version as i am more of an XBOX player and i like to play GTA on the move.

GRAPHICS

The Graphics on PSP are excellent, just slightly less better than the PS2 GTA's. The city sometimes takes a second to appear if you are travelling extremely fast in a vehicle but on the whole the graphics and the game islands look brilliant. The cut scenes also look great and the story is also very good.

GAMEPLAY

There are all the usual extras that are in GTA game such as Hidden packages, Side missions (including the usual taxi, police and ambulance missions) and many more extras that are new to the GTA series. You can spend at least around a week just on the story missions and even then you will only be around 60% - 70% complete. If you want the 100% game completion you will then spend around a month (if you dont have a walkthrough guide) collecting the hidden packages and doing all the side missions such as Taxi driver, policeman, ambulance driver, car boat and bike salesman, garbage man and many many more. The game is set before the original liberty city stories and you will recognise many of the old characters from the game and the story fits together. For example in GTA liberty city there is donald love, a politian but in liberty city stories you are helping to win the election. GTA liberty city stories uses all the humour that makes the series what it is and keeps you laughing. You will come across funny bilboards, Radio adverts or programmes and occationally you will hear a random passerby say something funny and sometimes wierd.
Even though the islands are the same as the original Liberty city stories there are a few small changes and since the original islands are great it doesnt make the game feel like a slightly changed copy, which it isnt. If you did play the original liberty city game you will love going through the city and finding the small changes and it feels like youve come home to a familiar place.

SOUND

The sound is also excellent and you get the feeling that you are in a city as you hear sirens, angry beeping cars, the occational gunshot and people talking. Your charactor also has a voice unlike in the original GTA liberty city game so you will be able to watch the movie clips and find how your character feels about the mission he is about to do. On the PSP version you can convert and save .GTA files onto the memory stick and have your own choice of songs on GTA. This is a great feature however the songs do require a bit of memory, so this is only for people who use a 512MB card or higher really. The radio does not have as much to listen to as other GTA games and you will find each station repeats itself after about 30 - 50 minutes.

MULTIPLAYER

On PSP you can wirelessly play with other people in the surrounding area across one of the islands of your choice. You can select the character you want to play as and there are many different game modes, You can even have a team deathmatch or a race. This is a great feature of liberty city stories and could only be made better with some sort of co-op missions.

SHOULD I BUY???

I would recommend this game to anyone who likes the GTA series or if you just like free roaming games. There is plenty to do and even though i have owned it since launch day i still have not reached the 100% completion and i dont think i will due to the fact that there is so much to do.
If you have a PSP and a PS2 i would reccommend you buy it on the PSP. Even though the PSP version is a little more expensive, the custom soundtracks and wireless multiplayer is worth it also you can carry it with you on long journeys etc.
