fueled by the violent power struggle in a lucrative drugs trade. Construction is everywhere as a shining metropolis rises from foundations of crime and betrayal. As a soldier, Vic Vance has always protected his dysfunctional family, his country, himself. One bad decision later and that job is about to get much harder. Kicked out onto the streets of a city torn between glamour and gluttony, Vic is faced with a stark choice - build an empire or be crushed.Impressive graphic overhaulVice City Stories is a monumental improvement upon the previous Grand Theft Auto title on the PlayStation Portable. For one, the draw distance has nearly doubled so that buildings and features can be seen across town. Character models and cars are as detailed as if they were on the PlayStation 2 and include all of the shine and transparency that looked so great in other Grand Theft Auto titles. Players can even choose the clothing that Vic will wear in Vice City. Overall, Rockstar has substantially increased all visual elements so that you don`t need to make any graphical sacrifices when taking Grand Theft Auto on the road.Even the city appears as never before- people on the street will notice you and recognize you for the actions you`ve taken on previous missions. Some even comment about actions you`ve taken and give you an idea about how the public feels about your notoriety.Expanded gameplayNew characters never before seen in Vice City add new twists to the story gamers were introduced to in the PlayStation 2 Vice City title. With a playtime of over 15 hours for the storyline alone, there is certainly plenty to see and hear in and around the city. Choose from various objectives to complete such as doing stunts for a chocolate commercial, chasing a known drug dealer to swipe his loot, and patrolling your neighborho

City. Grandma may not approve, but the 143 million people who boughtGTA IIIwill be chomping at the bit for this follow-up. Not quite a full-blown sequel, but far more than the average lazy mission disk,Vice Cityrelocates the action of the previous game from the New York-esque Liberty City to the Miami-influenced metropolis of the title. And clearly as soon as someone mentioned Miami the developers immediately thought ofMiami Vice, because they've gone and set the whole thing in 1986 with an incredible soundtrack featuring everyone from Michael Jackson to Sigue Sigue Sputnik. As the game starts you take control of Tommy Vercetti (voiced byGoodfellasstar Ray Liotta) who gets involved in a bungled drug deal and must set himself up from scratch as a crime boss. Unlike inGTA III, you're not restricted to being a small-time hood any more; the game now allows you to purchase property (porn studios, strip clubs, cab companies and so on) and run extortion rackets, which cleverly widens the scope of the game while keeping the controls and gameplay pretty much the same. Which means that you still spend the majority of your time driving cars very dangerously and shooting and maiming anyone that happens to get in your way. Indeed, in most respects the game is very similar to its predecessor--the graphics, for example, are improved but hardly groundbreaking--though there are numerous minor additions, most notably the chance to ride motorbikes--which is particularly satisfying--and fly proper aircraft.Vice Citycan't be recommended unreservedly though: if you're intending to buy this game for someone under 18, you really should think again, as it's violent, filled with sex and swearing, and is totally and utterly immoral. Which is why it's guaranteed to sell and sell. --David Jenkins

THIS ONE IS OUR OWN CITY OF CRIME This one from Rockstar games is another amazing experience as we get full freedom to do whatever we like to do. The player will be taking over the character of Tommy Vercetti, who is just released from prison and has got nothing, no property, vehicles or cash to buy a residence, but there will be lots of opportunities waiting for him in the field of crime. Tommy will be involved in lots of crime in the future as he teams up with another man Sonny to continue his criminal activities. In the end, Tommy Vercetti is to control the whole city after completing a number of seemingly impossible missions and also getting rid of the cops dring the process. There are some interesting characters whom tommy will encounter in the way to success.
Vice city has got one of the most beautiful environments and some areas look too good. The highly detailed buildings look distinct and the vehicles and the characters are also made to look good. The different parts of the world gives a different feeling as you will travel through the city centre, remote islands, crowded beaches and also inside some of the buildings. The various other effects also exist including the weather and the day/night changes. The game looks even better at night with those colorful lights and even the moon adds to the beauty of the game. The sun rising is another awesome scene and also the sunsets at the beach looks better in the game, even better than the real life at times. The sounds can only be better especially the music, which depends on the Radio channel you are hearing in you car and it can changed any time. The characters also sound good especially during those nice cutscenes which keep the story moving.
A GAME WITH MAXIMUM FEATURES The game allows you take any vechicle in the game, and if there is someone inside that car, you will automatically pull him out and sit in there. But if a cop manages to see you stealing the car, you will get a star which means that cops will come looking for you. You may even get upto five stars which means that cops will make your life a living hell with that huge crime rating on you. You can always escape from the cops if you are fast enough. If you choose to kill the cops, it will only increase the rating, and the same happens if you run over some one with your car while you are being chased. Some of the missions may finish you with some stars and you will have to get away by yourself.
The police may arrest you or waste you with their bullets, but in most of the situations, they seems to be more interested in keeping on shooting at you or your car. In the case of both, you will lose cash and guns as you come out of the police station or the hospital. The Re-Spray shopswill help you to get rid of the police and so will some new clothes. I f you don't get rid of this heat soon, police cars will be replaced by helicopters, SWAT teams and later tanks and ofcourse there may be road blocks too. Some of the gangsters may also want a piece of you, so its better to keep running when you feel that the situation is no longer safe.
There are lots of vehicles to choose from, including those sporty, stylish cars and bikes, scooters, buses and trucks. But the action is not limited to the ground as you are to take control of helicopters and boats too, and they are mandatory as you go through some missions. Some vechicles will have their own missions. You will be playing the role of a cop and go after some gangsters when you are driving a cop car provided you activated the mission. There will also be missions for doing some pizza delivery and you will also get the chance to extinguish fires with a fire truck. The same applies for Taxies as we pick and drop off people for money and also ambulances where we pick up people and drop them off at the hospital without causing much delay or crashes. But these will only provide you with limited money compared to those main missions.
MUCH MORE THAN ANYONE CAN EXPECT The specialities of these vehicles doesn't end here as we will also have some stunts which can get us lots of cash, as well as those races which occur on the roads. We can race and win against the other guys or we can blast the others away with a rocket launcher and slowly move to the finishing line. There are also lots of weapons used in this game inclding the shot guns, machine guns and also the melee weapons like the baseball bats, batons and golf clubs. The player can also fight with bare hands for a change, but it is not a recommended thing though. There are also Grenades and Molotov cocktails to go for, and as there are enough shops which sell weapons, the player won't have much trouble in getting some. The player may also want to get some weapons and money from some criminal whom he just run over with his car.
The option of owning lots of property is another great thing in the game. If you have enough cash, you can buy some great buildings in different parts of the city. In the garage of the buildings, you will also be able to store some vehicles which you have managed to steal from those ill-fated people. The price of the buildings can vary, and some buildings will be available to you once you complete some missions. There are also some business enterprises which you can buy, and also make some profit out of it, including an ice cream factory where you sell ice creams with drugs mixed in it, but make sure that the cops won't notice. The profit earned from this business may be a bit low considering the efforts.
The ice cream thing was interesting, but it is just the beginning as there are also printing presses and car shops where you can try spending some cash. You may also think about getting your hands on a film studio, a dance club, a strip club, and also a taxi company. But only the houses or rooms you buy in the city will allow you to save the game, and the saving process won't be allowed in between a mission. The player better make sure that he know these areas well to avoid getting into trouble. These places can be easily fond out from the map and the player jsut need to make sure that he gets there in time through the easiest of paths.
I will recommend this game to almost everyone, but not for kids or people who dont like violence as this game includes lots of violence and gore thus managing a Mature rating. According to some people, the game may be supporting violence and not suitable to play, but it is the mature content which seems to keep this game going. A Vice City without all these factors are not even worth imagining. I think that everyone should try this game atleast once, and as this one is too addictive, there won't be any need for any kind of persuation next time. The cash spent on this game is really worth it, but the game is a bit old now and the gamers can also wait for the next game in the series, and it is certainly going to be great.
THANKS FOR READING THE REVIEW. DO CHECK THE UPLOADED VICE CITY PICS TOO :-)
Advantages: Great all-round game that's almost perfect. Disadvantages: It ends.
...GTA3 on the PC:
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a lesson in how to take a game which is already bordering on genius and improving it. If you enjoyed GTA3, then you will love Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Go and buy it now. No excuses.
For those who have not played GTA3 on the PC:
Vice City is a game played in the third person perspective (rather like Tomb Raider). In this game, you play an ex-convict called Tommy Vercetti (voiced by Ray Liotta) ... ...to Vice City (i.e. Miami) by his 'boss' to expand their operation down there. However, your very first drug deal is ambushed by persons unknown and only you, your lawyer and one of the other people with whom you were dealing manage to escape.
You're obviously annoyed at being taken in, your boss in Liberty City wants his money back and you're obviously on the make at the same time, so things are going to get mighty interesting in Vice City...
So ...

...other GTA’s is amazing.
Although Grand Theft Auto 3 changed the way you played (From birds eye to 3D views, bigger areas of play) Vice City made GTA3 look old.
Vice City is set in the 1980’s in a Miami setting (i.e. beaches, sea, women etc) and is split into two different islands.
As in GTA3 there are a lot of different ganglands, which still have the same setting of, if you annoy them, they will kill you.
Transportation has also changed slightly, ... ...shapes of them have changed, which adds the effect of the past time cars.
Each car has different driving capabilities, as before, for example, the sports cars are fast but hard to control. The acceleration varies between the sports cars to make this game more fun because you are always searching for the best sports cars to drive around with and to get away from the cops.
There are also new ways of transportation like using bikes and helicopters.

RRP: £ 35.99

A brief history:
GTA: ViceCity, a hazy dream surely when the original game was released - GrandTheftAuto was a far less complex, but enthralling concept whereby a car criminal had to perform a series of jobs for individuals in the murkey underworld of a corrupt city, much has changed since the release in 1997 seemingly encouraging criminal behaviour, but the changed nevertheless the game has and become a much more in depth affair - passing through an update and 2 sequels along the way. In 5 years the game has been transformed from a 2 dimensional top down view to a sprawling 3 dimensional metropolis, with a variety of characters, missions and interweaving storylines.

Advantages: Freedom, range of weapons and cars, various missions Disadvantages: Only that it takes up so much of your time!
GrandTheftAutoViceCity has to be one of the best games I have played in my life, bar of course the wicked Transport Tycoon on the PC! Playing this game on the PS2 will while away your hours and waste your life like no game has done before, due to it’s extreme detail and literal fun packed action.
The series of GrandTheftAuto has come a long way since the humble first game where everything was an overhead camera shot and various groups around the world were damning it because of it’s violence. It’s a bit like carmageddon in a way where you can run over people on the pavement, perfect your aiming skills with your guns and get headshots and see bodies with no heads die in front of you. Yer, it all sounds a bit brutal, but I’m a very laid back guy and wouldn’t hurt no one (aint I sweet!) and this game ...
Advantages: Origiional and Very Playable Disadvantages: A little too gory for some

Coming soon to the PC (but nearly out on PS2) is GrandTheftAuto: ViceCity. Set in a 1980s Miami-style town, the game will play very similarly to GTAIII but with many added features. These include being able to shoot people in cars, shoot tyres, much more graphical detail on people, and the ability to fly a helicopter. Watch out for it on the PC soon...
From the looks of things the game is based around the film 'Scarface' (in that the film was set in the 1980s, in Miami, and the characters are based on real characters etc)
There are many rumours currently flying around ...
