fueled by the violent power struggle in a lucrative drugs trade. Construction is everywhere as a shining metropolis rises from foundations of crime and betrayal. As a soldier, Vic Vance has always protected his dysfunctional family, his country, himself. One bad decision later and that job is about to get much harder. Kicked out onto the streets of a city torn between glamour and gluttony, Vic is faced with a stark choice - build an empire or be crushed.Impressive graphic overhaulVice City Stories is a monumental improvement upon the previous Grand Theft Auto title on the PlayStation Portable. For one, the draw distance has nearly doubled so that buildings and features can be seen across town. Character models and cars are as detailed as if they were on the PlayStation 2 and include all of the shine and transparency that looked so great in other Grand Theft Auto titles. Players can even choose the clothing that Vic will wear in Vice City. Overall, Rockstar has substantially increased all visual elements so that you don`t need to make any graphical sacrifices when taking Grand Theft Auto on the road.Even the city appears as never before- people on the street will notice you and recognize you for the actions you`ve taken on previous missions. Some even comment about actions you`ve taken and give you an idea about how the public feels about your notoriety.Expanded gameplayNew characters never before seen in Vice City add new twists to the story gamers were introduced to in the PlayStation 2 Vice City title. With a playtime of over 15 hours for the storyline alone, there is certainly plenty to see and hear in and around the city. Choose from various objectives to complete such as doing stunts for a chocolate commercial, chasing a known drug dealer to swipe his loot, and patrolling your neighborho

Not quite a full-blown sequel, but far more than the average lazy mission disk,Vice Cityrelocates the action of the previous game from the New York-esque Liberty City to the Miami-influenced metropolis of the title. Clearly as soon as someone mentioned Miami the developers immediately thought ofMiami Vice, because they've gone and set the whole thing in 1986 with an incredible soundtrack featuring everyone from Michael Jackson to Sigue Sigue Sputnik. As the game starts you take control of Tommy Vercetti (voiced byGoodfellasstar Ray Liotta) who gets involved in a bungled drug deal and must set himself up from scratch as a crime boss. Unlike inGTA III, you're not restricted to being a small-time hood any more; the game now allows you to purchase property (porn studios, strip clubs, cab companies and so on) and run extortion rackets. This cleverly widens the scope of the game while keeping the controls and gameplay pretty much the same. It also means that you still spend the majority of your time driving cars very dangerously and shooting and maiming anyone that happens to get in your way. Indeed, in most respects the game is very similar to its predecessor--the graphics, for example, are improved but hardly ground-breaking--though there are numerous minor additions, most notably the chance to ride motorbikes--which is particularly satisfying--and fly proper aircraft.Vice Citycan't be recommended unreservedly though: if you're intending to buy this game for someone under 18, you really should think again, as it's violent, filled with sex and swearing, and is totally and utterly immoral--which is why it's guaranteed to sell and sell. --David Jenkins

The GTA series has been copied many times on the Playstation platform, sometimes succesfully and very often forgettably. The 2 spin offs, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories are often overlooked, and still manage to be a more enjoyable playing experience than games with a high amount of anticipation and publicity, why? Well, the makers of Grand Theft Auto can do whatever they want and not be accused of copying anyone, after all, they're the ones who popularised the genre, although thats not to say this game is a clone of other titles in the series, because it's not. It is original and different. When i bought this game i, admittedly, expected the same sort of feel and storylines to the previous titles, it's not like that at all. The updated graphics and gameplay make the game feel different, the new characters freshen things up, and despite the same setting, it still feels original.
Story: 7.5/10 You are Victor Vance (brother of Lance from the original game), a US Soldier recruited only to be thrown into a life of drug trafficking and shady deals by his sergeant, Jerry Martinez, Vic is a morally good person and Jerry's requests go totally against Vic's ethics, Vic begins to work for Phil Cassidy, only to be thrown back into a life of crime for the rest of the game. There aren't too many characters to get confused with, and the story is not ENTIRELY original, but hey, who expected it to be? It's a spin off, this is not a criticism, in fact, quite the opposite, it was so easy for the developers to fall into the trap of repeating themselves, instead, they mix things about, try new methods with new characters, and it's pulled off well. The settings are updated in that there is more access to buildings and to simply explore, there are newer gangs to interact with, and more features, such as building your empire, (reminiscent of Scarface:The World Is Yours) but not just involving drugs, other business features include protection rackets, prostitution, loan shark, and robbery, these are all involved in progressing through the game.
Gameplay: 9/10 The gameplay in VCS has been updated somewhat significantly from GTA: Vice City, the graphics are clearer, the load times are faster, the action is more complex and in your face and the game is generally more interactive, whether doing side missions or the core storyline. The soundtrack plays a part in the gameplay as it goes hand in hand with the atmoshphere, whether driving through a rough neighbourhood or driving along the sun soaked beach-side avenues. Fans of Scarface will surely enjoy this game, due to the obvious references to the movie and the similarities to the game, mainly the connection between the fictional Vice City and the real life Miami.
General impression: 8/10 For a spin-off, the game is very impressive, although the amount of effort that went into the game is obviously not as high as the lead titles, this game certainly delivers much more than other labels' flagship titles, this what makes the "Grand Theft Auto" incomparable, a very enjoyable game, and with prices as low as £8 on the internet, it's definately worth having in your game collection.
Advantages: Fast cars + lots of guns = Carnage! Disadvantages: Unoriginal missions
...other games in the PS2 Grand Theft Auto then you will know what to expect: Colourful characters, satirical script writing, excellent voice acting and plenty of mindless violence. And of course lots and lots of high speed driving. You take on the role of Victor Vance, the sensible brother of Lance from the original Vice City game. After being ousted from the Army early on in the game he has to fend for himself, trying to earn money for his sick brother.
... ...buy, but don't expect it to push the boundaries of the genre. Out of all the games in the series thus far, this is probably the weakest. What lets this down is the lack of imagination in the missions. It has a feel that this was thrown together quickly and the storyline seems laboured at times. Of course, as usual the music is exceptional and the comedy is spot on, but there is nothing here that compels you to keep playing. The new feature of taking ...

Introduction : This is one of those great tropical based games from the United States. Vice city takes it's name from Miami which is set in the state of Florida. Advantages: More GTA action. Great music, vehicles, neon lighting, etc. Disadvantages: Some missions may feel simialar to previous GTA titles.
This game provides more great GTA action and is even better for those who didn't play Vice City the first time around. The free roaming never tires and you can spend hours just touring the city. This game is ported from the PSP and as such can suffer from some slowdown (particularly when the ferris wheel is in view), but in general the graphics are on par with the original VIce City. The missions are quite lengthy considering they were originally ... ...is quite limited and focuses on Vic Vance (who you play) and his brother Lance Vance (who reminds me a lot of Ricardo Tubbs from Miami Vice series). The humour adds to the enjoyment and the sooundtrack is full of 1980's pop, rock and reggae music which is just as good as the original Vice City. Some new property features don't harm either.
So all in all, there's mothing wrong with more GTA and this is an ideal filler until GTA 4 comes out. ...

Advantages: Missions, characters, soundtrack, playability, price Disadvantages: shorter than the solo release GTA's
...the same as the original Grand Theft Auto - Vice City but this does not make it any less playable, lots of old haunts are still available and even some of the secret gun stashes are replenished for those with a good memory. The missions are great, as with all GTA games some are pure fury and some require a little more intelligence but they are all fun and entertaining. Some old faces are also back to pay a little visit e.g. Lance Vance (Vic's brother) ... ...together now awwwwwww :(
However it would not be a GTA game without a treasure hunt so you can collect Red Balloons in stead of hidden packages, these are a bit trickier as they can hover out of reach.... but I have faith in you...you will find a way to reach them!
Also a teeny bit like San Andreas and the gang wars, in this game you have to take over businesses. This is great fun and a great little money maker to boot!
For me it was the awesome ...

GrandtheftAutoViceCityStories is a psp game with ps2 quality graphics.
This is a must have for grandtheftauto fans.
After being booted out the army Vic Vance is kicked onto the streets of metropolis. Where he becomes involved in drugs, crime + prostitution.
The aim of the game is to take over and run illigal businesses that the leading gangs' in the city own. In order to take over these properties you have to kill the gang members. But As well as the standard GTA missions, which usually involve shooting and driving, and side missions, ViceCityStories introduces an empire building element.
You make money passing these missions too. The harder the mission the more the money. To make money you can also to 'taxi missions' where you hijack a taxi and collect fares. You can also do vigilant missions where you hijack ...
