so hard to give gaming culture is on the PC.While missions range from being a driver in a diamond heist to delivering drugs to a neighbouring gang, the game has been designed in such a way that fun can be had from just driving around the city. Steal a taxicab and you'll be able to pick people up and earn money while doing it. Alternatively you can go and steal cars then sell them to one of the many scrap heaps around town.Stealing a car in front of the police however is not a good idea and will incite a chase, and with increased AI (Artificial Intelligence) over the first version, they will try everything to hunt you down. If this fails and you evade the police, however, then the FBI in their black Transam--Men in Black style--will come out. If they fail to stop you, the streets are cleared and the National Guard are brought out--not a pretty sight.Although not the most beautiful game in the world, and one that certainly doesn't take advantage of the PC's power, this game is great for letting off some steam at the end of the day. Filled with little details, the game can give you hours of fun without actually playing the missions. --Stuart Miles
up with street gangs in a war over turf, drugs and cold, hard cash? Welcome to Grand Theft Auto 3 on the PlayStation 2. Big brother of previous outings on the PSone and PC, GTA 3 has gone fully 3-D to bring the fictitious environs of Liberty City to life. Any worries about graphical speed on the PS2 are quickly dispelled the first time you carjack a taxi and take off like a lunatic, mowing down the innocent and incurring the wrath of law enforcement. This is silky-smooth stuff and the graphical details are truly awesome--all the vehicles are fully deformable and ripping off car doors reveals a driver complete with steering wheels inside. Sonically, GTA 3 cannot be beaten; in-car tunes are provided from one of nine radio stations, each with its own distinct feel, and the sounds of the city are all here too; walk around for a while and you'll hear far-off police sirens, motorists abusing one another and general chit-chat as people go about their business. The game is very open-ended. Its major focus is the mission-based goals--start out as a convict accidentally sprung from jail and work your way up to become a shining light in one of the city's controlling gangs. If that gets dull, hijack a cab, police car, ambulance or fire engine and carry out missions suitable for your mode of transport, and if all else fails, find the ludicrously dangerous looking ramps and hit them hard for some big air and big cash bonuses. It has to be said that GTA 3 fully warrants its 18 certificate, dealing as it does with mob warfare, indiscriminate murders, auto crimes, prostitution and more. The language gets a little "fruity" from time to time and you can't help but wince as you watch innocents get in the way of a good firefight. At the end of the day, though, this is a game and nothing more; thankfully, it's a good game, a very, very good game in fact, so buy it now. Or we'll send Luigi and the boys round. --Chris Russell
80's Flare is Back Review ofGrand Theft Auto : Vice City Stories (PSP)by

Advantages: Greater Depth in the Storyline Disadvantages: Those Damn Glitches
I could not wait for this game. Liberty City Stories was amazing, I loved all the other games in the GTA series and everything I was hearing about this game was that it was going to be the one step further than its predecessor.
To a certain extent I do not think I was disappointed. Jet skis, more boats, helicopters, planes, the ability to swim, more cars, that 80's greatness that was in Vice City combined with all the qualities of Liberty City Stories. ... ...game fall in my estimation. So disappointed by this.
----- Story line -----
1984 on the islands of Vice City. The City is emerging and growing, fuelled by the violent power struggle in the lucrative drugs trade. Construction is everywhere and a shining metropolis rises from the foundations of crime and betrayal. Former solider Vic Vance (Older brother of Lance Vance from GTA Vice City), kicked out of the army through his corrupt sergeant, has always ...

...me! Secondly! I love all Grand Theft Auto games! I have played them since GTA 1 and had every version since, even the Gameboy advance version (and that was pants!).
BUT… I am rubbish at them since they became 3D. Don't get me wrong, they are still amazing, but I just suck at them. I get to a mission I find hard then stop playing. I did it with GTAIII I did it with Vice City, San Andreas (damn sponge suspension on those low riders) and even Liberty ... ...PSP game of the same name. Therefore the bulk of this review is the PSP review. If you have read that, just scroll down to the end for my overall opinion!
The game follows Vic Vance, Lance Vance's brother form San Andreas. The game starts in the 80s, with you just starting a career in the Army and as is the way that's where it all starts to go wrong. Jerry Martinez, your insane commanding officer has a job for you. As a poor soldier, trying to earn ...

Advantages: good story line with great games features. Disadvantages: on PSP and some graphical flaws.
...lover. One thing with the grand theft auto (GTA) is that the game is based on real life events and environments which include real cars you use today, the environments are in today and so on. So the game is not based on much myth rather it is based on what you see and experience today in your every day life. So this actual gives the real life authenticity.
The game is of good value for money, in my own case, I bought mine at Amazon. Uk and at the ...

Rockstars 2nd attempt at a GTA psp title does not dissapoint...let round 2 commence.
Vice City Stories is set in the 1980s and acts as a prequel to the popular PS2 installement that is GTA Vice City. You play as Vic Vance, the brother of central Vice City character Lance Vance (the guy always in the purple or white suit). A major issue with some games, especially with complex ones such as GTA VCS is the PSPs capability of allowing the user to play ... ...Liberty City Stories did. The same basic controls that feautred in the previous game are here. However the same problem regarding the targetting system still does occur occasionally with the game locking onto random civilians, instead of the guy shooting you to pieces. The camera has been improved however is not withouts its flaws as there are some instances where you will often be shot by a guy behind you who you cant see. On the whole the controls ...
