Rockstar games have really excelled this time producing in my opinion the greatest PSP game so far and of course this follows a whole load of success with the GTA series from the very first micro dote game to this latest addition.
The game for those who are not familiar with the GTA (Grand Theft Auto) series then here is a brief description of what to expect not for the easily offended.
GTA is a Shooter / RPG game which has many different story lines to be followed in this the latest edtion you Steal, Murder, Intimidate and just about every other crime there is to carry out to become the number one crime lord in Vice City and its assosiated islands which are unlockable as you prgress through the game.
Whilst carrying out hundreds of missions you steal and drive Cars, Bikes, Planes, Boats and even BMX and Helicopters. Killing maiming and generally causing havoc on your way. Add to this little mix the police, FBI, SWAT and even the Army coming after you and you have the perfect reciepe for hours and hours of addictive gameplay.
Each mission is followed by cutscenes which are fantastically scripted but again can cause offence to those easily offended. Whilst carrying out your missions on this latest addition you also have to build up a criminal empire taking out rival gangs and stealing their terroritory whilst setting up your own businesses from prostotution to Drug making facilities.
The other excellent feature as with all GTA games is the soundtrack whilst in various modes of transport you can switch the radio to a number of different channels each unique with rock to classical on offer. Only annoying thing is when you leave the car the music stops.
This game is very easy to learn and pick up the controls however you will find that after a few missions you find yourself cursing alot when you fail a mission right at the last gasp.
Great features also include hijacking Fire Trucks, Police Cars, Taxis and even Tanks and with a simple click of the button you are on a side mission as a renegade taking down criminals in your own special way or a paramedic having to rush people to hospital.
Within the game there are many safehouses for you to use to save your game and store cars but also in each business you set up you can change your style of clothes and change the business type or even carry out seperate mini missions to increase your stature as a criminal mastermind.
Once you have played the life out of this installment of GTA then why not check the internet and get a little help or just have some crazy fun with the many cheat codes available such as All Weapons, No Police, Riot mode and many many more.
This game is fantastic and would give anyone hours of fun but bear in mind that its not for the easily offended or children under 18 due to the very high levels of violence and very regular swearing.
