Advantages: convenient Disadvantages: none
...saw the familiar bottle of PLJ which my Nan used to drink years ago. i have now substituted this for my morning drink again as it is convenient to take to work. It is such a refreshing drink and you get that really clean, healthy breath feeling. I is all natural, sugar and sweetner free and only 9 calories per serving. This would probably not be to every ones taste as it is very sharp, but i can eat a whole lemon without blinking, while watching ......2 weeks, but i keep a bottle at home too and have been known to use it for salad dressing and marinades as suggested on the bottle. PLJ is also an excellent source of Vitamin C so go on get your taste buds tanging and give it a try. ... Read review

...nice simple design, showing the Tesco logo and a part of a cut grapefruit. The first surprise was the colour. Normally, grapefruit juice is yellow. This one turned out to be orange-brown. No problem - grapefruit come in different shades, including the so-called 'pink' grapefruit whose flesh can perhaps be described as 'orange-coloured'. The smell was ordinary grapefruit, if perhaps a bit more sour than usual. With the flavour came the real surprise. ......sour even for me, and Tesco Value Grapefruit Juice is beyond even my limits. I am pleased to report, though, that even after consuming the whole litre over a period of 24 hours, my stomach has not voiced the slightest protest about the acidity or the juice in general. Since this fruit juice cost only 43 pence for a 1 litre pack, I didn't expect gourmet flavour. However, I would have hoped for something a bit more palatable. Because of the recent ... Read review
Advantages: Healthy Disadvantages: An acquired taste
I'm not really a breakfast eater and usually rely on coffee and nicotine to give me a kick-start first thing in the morning. I am aware this is not a healthy option , as I'm usually left feeling quite groggy and lacking in energy in the run up to lunch time. I have been trying to find some healthy breakfast alternatives to give me an energy boost in the morning, that will not be too heavy on my stomach, as I cannot face food first thing. One of ......Pink Grapefruit Juice This juice is made from concentrate, which means all the sugars are natural coming from the fruit itself. Grapefruits are high in vitamin C and provide a natural energy boost. One 200ml glass of this grapefruit juice also provides you with 1 portion of the recommended 5 fruit & veg portions a day. Cost and Availability The juice costs £1.05 for a 1 litre carton. It can be purchased from your local Sainsburys store or online ... Read review

...juices in litre cartons. Tesco have the dynamic pop-tops or screw tops, which help keep the cartons, air tight for keeping taste contained and a longer life. I must say though this longer life seems a bit more watered down then the normal grapefruit juice which would probably tally with long life milk. For taste I have had better but for keeping taste this is by far the best especially I summer when you’re gulping the stuff down. At 66p ......it’s sometimes on offer like 2 for 1 or 3 for a reduced price. As for the taste it is zesty and taste quite nice but you get the quality pangs here as it feels watered down as I say plus I like bits in my juice and this isn’t thick enough and has a minimum bit content. In all this is a good value juice but there are better choices but you do indeed pay fro them like v8 or del Monte, and some of these give you a bits choice in their range ... Read review

...I found a bottle of PLJ lemon juice in Sainsburys and from then on we have been early morning hot lemon drinkers. The 500 ml bottle costs £1.45 which I think is very good value considering how many lemons must be used in its’ preparation. The bottle lasts ages and the drink is simple to prepare. We simply put a splash of lemon juice in the bottom of a mug and fill with warm water. The immediate effect is of waking up those parts of you that ......lemon – truly invigorating. PLJ is made by Martlet Natural Foods in Wellingborough and comes in a 500ml clear glass bottle. Depending on your imagination it either looks like a bottle of sunshine or a bottle of extra strong urine! Obviously I prefer the first comparison - I like all the sunshine I can get in my life. The bottle has a bright yellow cap with PLJ written on both sides. The label is decorated with lemon halves and leaves. So ... Read review
