Grecian Formula 2000 Foam

'I grow old, I grow old, I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled' You may be familiar with these lines, taken from T.S.Eliot's famous poem entitled 'The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock'. To be honest, I have never quite understood the second line about rolled trousers. But as every line of Eliot is supposed to have some deep symbolic significance, presumably it has something to do with conveying the idea of adapting to change as one grows older. Ok, so I googled reviews of this stuff before I used it and lets face it, for a shy guy to make the huge leap from grey to youthful will draw unwanted attention. I read reviews for most gentlman products and decided I liked the idea of going back gradually so that nobody would notice. What struck me was the amount of bad press about grecian. I nearly never tried it and tried to get a product from Scharzfopf that had better reviews but turned out only available in Germany. after being out for a night & talking to a few women, the conversation turned to what age we all were, (i've just just turned 40, which never bothered me at all) when it came to guessing my age the women said 47, 51, 'late 40s' .....now....i was taken aback to be honest as i never thought of myself looking older than i was -just my real age would be fine i asked them why they thought i was older looking than my real age & all said (waving thier hands around their heads) 'you've got that grey hair thing going on at the sides of your head' etc just to make sure i'd understood, i asked ... more

I have used Grecian 2000 for about 15 years. I now use the foam. I find I need more that "3" golf balls of foam, and I make sure it is well absorbed to the roots. Regarding what was written on a previous review that it takes so long on first application and that one cannot wash one's hair all that time... It is true that perhaps the first application needs a longer time for the change to take effect. However after that it is only a question of once a fortnight for 2, maybe 3, days.
