Princes Park, A Green Oasis

Advantages: Verdant. Close to city centre. Peaceful
Disadvantages: Not any I can think of

Liverpool,contrary to a lot of misinformed opinion, has a surprisingly large amount of green space and one of the nicest parks that is close to the city centre just has to be Princes Park.This is a verdant,expanse with some gorgeous flowers and just the place to relax for an hour or two. It was the first park in the urban area of the city and was designed by none other than Sir Joseph Paxton who became internationally famous as the architect of the Crystal Palace in London. Greenwood Forest Park

Advantages: Something on offer for the whole family
Disadvantages: Need dry weather to appreciate all that is on offer.

and entertainment in the park. (Its worth noting that disabled visitors and their carers get a 50% reduction). Car parking is free and there are the usual gift shops, toilets, cafes and snack bars in the park that are all accessible for wheelchair users. There are a number of eating places scattered around the park where you can buy a meal or snack at very reasonable prices. There are also a number of rides - Moon Karts being a particular favourite with the children, where pedal powered one or two seater quad bikes and trikes are ridden around a track. Children of all ages at catered for, from toddlers to teenagers, but there are some height and age restrictions in place on some activitiies and rides, like the Green Dragon Rollercoaster. Poison arrows...an "angelic" read!

Advantages: Gives a new perspective on heaven!
Disadvantages: Had to end.

A while ago my younger sister had a book clearout, knowing my love of reading she ?donated? them to my ongoing book club that I run through my workplace, hence the review. The book I will now review is - ?Poison Arrows by Morag Prunty? This is a shock book to me. I only picked this book up to read as it was on the top of the pile and my daughter was asleep and I didn?t want to disturb her?.. Not really a reason is it!
