I've been buying Green & Blacks Hot Chocolate for at least a couple of years. I normally have a nice big mug every night before bed.

I pay £2.49 for a 300g jar from Tesco in their Kensington branch. It's normally stocked in the Organic section. I used to buy it in ASDA before moving to London and I'm sure it's cheaper now in Tesco than it was then in ASDA. I think it was priced nearer £3.50 when I first bought it.

All the ingredients are Organic as the name suggests. The 3 main ones are cane sugar, cocoa and dark chocolate.

The taste is wonderfully rich and there's no bitter aftertaste. I find that as it has so much pure chocolate in it that it gives me a bit of a buzz. Of course not so much that I can't sleep.

I usually make it by filling a mug with cold milk and heating in the microwave for 21/2-31/2 mins depending on the size of the mug. Then I use between 3-5 teaspoons of the chocolate powder. I find it dissolves nicely and doesn't clump. When I'm near to the end of drinking it, I swirl it around to sort out any chocolate liquid at the bottom for an extra rich last kick.

So not too bad for those watching their weight. Although maybe not for those on the Atkins diet.

Overall, I've not touched another brand of hot chocolate in 2 years. I think that's worth something on its own. Try it and you might just love it forever.
