For those who don't know of Green Day, they are a three piece band made up of Billie Joe, Mike and Tre. Green Day are an American band and they brought their first album out back in 1990.
International Superhits was brought out in 2001, and is basically 'the best of' album. But personally, i think there should have been more than 21 tracks, they have more great songs on previous albums.
The 21 tracks on International Superhits are as follows: 1. Maria 2. Poprocks & Coke 3. Longview 4. Welcome To Paradise 5. Basket Case 6. When I Come Around 7. She 8. J.A.R. (Jason Andrew Relva) 9. Geek Stink Breath 10. Brain Stew 11. Jaded 12. Walking Contradiction 13. Stuck With Me 14. Hitchin' A Ride 15. Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) 16. Redundant 17. Nice Guys Finish Last 18. Minority 19. Warning 20. Waiting 21. Macy's Day Parade
I would say it was punk rock, some may disagree, but that is my view of it. The songs you may recognise are Basket Case, When I Come Around, Minority, Warning and Waiting. Brain Stew was one of the soundtracks to Godzilla. Probably one of their most well known songs is definitely Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life). That is the great thing about this album, it has a mix of songs to rock out to, and songs that you can chill out to.
When I Come Around is my favourite song, without a doubt. But, other favourites include Poprocks & Coke, Welcome To Paradise, Hitchin' A Ride, Waiting and Macy's Day Parade.
I've also seen Green Day live, back in 2002, and they performed all the songs on this album. It was absolutely fantastic, and i really enjoyed it. They were really entertaining and they even picked out three people from the crowd to play their instruments. They were amazing.
If you haven't really heard any of their stuff, i recommend this album to you to get a general idea of what Green Day are about.
