Three years ago, a colleague of mine told me about Green Flag. I'd never heard of them as I don't drive, but I read up on them and persuaded my husband to take their breakdown cover. In the past year we have called them out on numerous occasions to different problems, and have never been disappointed with the service. A breakdown mechanic is always out within the hour and that's no mean feat when we live in a village about 10 miles from the nearest big town! On one occasion they saved us a great deal of money by diagnosing the problem, therefore the garage labour costs were a lot less than they would have been. If they have the appropriate small parts with them, the mechanics fit them there and then, failing that they instruct you what you need to buy or have fitted by a mechanics. The mechanics are helpful and courteous as are the operators on the emergency line. Breakdown calls are free and and as long as quote the registration number, name and address etc., you don't need to remember the account number. The phone number is supplied on a windscreen sticker so there's not much chance of losing it. We've used the home call service, without which neither one of us would have made it to work on two occasions. My husband works 45 minutes from home and was brought back by Green Flag when he broke down near his work. Green Flag are cheaper than their rivals, but cutting the cost has not meant cutting the service. I know we'll be with them for some time to come.

I don't know what way you've formatted this but it looks very strange on the page. Maybe you could give us more on prices and deals to gain a higher rating?

If they are really that efficient then I think it's worth a go.Thanks.
Advantages: May have a reasonable recovery service, but I've never had to use it Disadvantages: Eager to get your money, dishonest, don't honour agreements.
