Advantages: None Disadvantages: Turns your Koi Pool into a sewage tank!
...I bought two Trident Topflow Filters 12000 in order to filter my 2000 gallon pond combined with Trident 18000 UV Unit. With this setup the Company supposedly gives a Clearwater Guarantee.
Within days my pool became like a sewage tank, and fish got infections etc. The water stayed murky due to the design fault that the filter mats are too small for the filter and the filter bulges with the weight of the water.
I contacted the Company who accused me of trying to rubbish thier product!!! They were rude, arrogant and unhelpful.
If you want a filter which works as good as these, then buy a plastic bucket and let the water flow through it!!!!
The 'Clear Water Guarantee' is a Con Trick, the Company will not stand by it, and in my estimation they are simply Con artists.
This Companies motto seems to be take thier money and let them squeal...

Advantages: No drained ponds Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...I have two interlinked ponds both filtered with a Trident Top Flow filter...actually the '3000' model. In many ways these filters are fairly standard, consisting of a plastic box containing sponge filters and plastic pieces to increase surface area for beneficial bacteria. However these filters have a nifty bit of internal pipe work that means the water flows out of a pipe near the top of the box, not at the bottom like normal. This has the following advantages 1) The filter can be mostly buried meaning it's considerably less obtrusive with just the top of the box and the pipe above the surface. This also prevents excessive cooling of the water during the Autumn. However 2) the raised outflow pipe also means that the filter, in effect, has an overflow pipe. If most filters get blocked, with silt or the plastic pieces inside...

Advantages: Ride on heaven! Disadvantages: Costly, Cumbersome - not easily manouvered!
...Ok then, having examined the commercial 6000 thoroughly in the stores, I am seriously of the opinion that it serves it’s purpose in the world sufficiently but is that good enough. Well I was delighted by this as other reviews of the 6000 were not particularly positive, especially from certain quarters, the petrol heads spring to mind - whats so wrong with the good old volts eh?.....
I, however do not agree with these reviews of the 6000, but in fact find myself in with the people who are for it, in fact I've found I really do rather like the 6000, so much in fact i was lucky enought to have a test "drive" in the rear garden. I'm be lying if i said i wasn't impressed. NKneeling down afterwards you could literally see the sharp, regular, consistent cut compared to other "lesser" mowers.
As with IBEA's other stuff the build quality...

I have been following the BTCC since 1998, and I have to say that it is now more exciting than it has EVER been!!.
The 2004 BTCC season saw the closest title battle ever known, against the VX Racing team mates. The BTCC always produces wheel to wheel more
Webcams are not a new invention as I am sure readers will be aware, but the actual technology has moved along at a break neck pace over the past year or so. Gone are the days of the blurred, grainy black and white images with no audio pickup and now we... more
