Advantages: Very sexy and plays as well as it looks! Disadvantages: Price - but you get what you pay for!
...I imported this guitar from the States on a favourable exchange rate day in tending to sell it on.
I kept to my plan and kept it unhandled/unplayed while I advertised it on Ebay at £400 lower than the lowest UK retail price. It didn\'t sell! Why?
I unpacked the guitar and removed the protective film, plugged it into my amp without altering the setup and tuned it. The guitar is no longer for sale!!!
The build quality is fabulous - glossy black top and a lovely mahogany back. Wonderful chrome fittings. But the sound.....it is unique. It\'s has more \"uumph\" than usual Gretsch\'s, the pickups have been upgraded so that sound moves away from the country/rockabilly sound and becomes some sort of Les Paul/Gretsch hybrid.
The action is perfect, the tuning is very stable and this guitar will be staying with me for a long time - it is pure...

Advantages: cheap, good sound, nice colour, very good construction Disadvantages: wimpy tuners
...FIRST OF ALL:
I recently bought a Casino, the new Casino Bigsby. I own four other guitars, a Rickenbacker 360/12v64, a Gibson j160e, a GretschCountryclassic 1962 II and a US fender stratocaster. Still the Casino is one of the best guitars I have ever played.
I play in a Beatles tribute band, I play the role of Harrison, and of course the Casino was a must. So when I spotted the Casino Bigsby, I was in Love right away and lucky enough for me this guitar is as good as it is cheap ......it´s a real must-have for every Beatle maniac ;o)
ABOUT THE CASINO:
Almost everything about this guitar is pure joy, the playing action, the construction, the sound. The only thing about this guitar I don´t like is the fake Kluson-style tuners. These should have been swabbed into something better before it left the factory.
THE SOUND:
The sound...

Advantages: GREAT SOUND, LOW ACTION, GOOD NECK Disadvantages: THE PICKUPS ALTHOUGH GOOD, WOULD NEED CHANGING
...I BOUGHT THE LEFT HANDED VERSION OF THIS GUITAR RECENTLY, AND I WAS EXPECTING TO HAVE TO ADJUST THE ACTION ON THE GUITAR, BUT THE ACTION WAS SPOT ON. THE NECK WAS EXCELLENT TO PLAY ON AND OVERALL THERE WERE NO ISSUES WITH TUNING OR THE FRETS ON THE GUITAR, OVERALL THE BUILD WAS VERY GOOD
THE SOUND WAS VERY VERY GOOD, BETTER THAN I EXPECTED FROM THE ONBOARD PICKUPS.
HOWEVER, I AM STILL GOING TO REPLACE THEM WITH GIBSON CLASSIC PICKUPS, THIS WILL ENHANCE THE TONE OF THE GUITAR MORE, BUT THE PICKUPS ON THE GUITAR ARE STILL MORE THAN PASSABLE.
OVERALL, I WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING THIS GUITAR TO ANYONE. IT IS EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY....

I bought this guitar about a year ago now and it has become much loved by me. When I saw it in the guitar shop, I was just stunned by how beautiful it looked for the price. A little test drive was enough to confirm to me that it is what I was looking... more
