My Fender Stratocaster is a 50’s classic Mexican Sunburst Stratocaster, 6 string style. At the time of purchase, (3 years ago) it cost me £470. This seemed to be the average price at that time, but the value may have dropped since then. Advantages: Value For Money! Good rock and blues tones
Disadvantages: effects aren't 'incredible', distortion channel won't work well with single-coil pickups

...The Marshall MG50dfx is a great solid state amp with many of the Marshall TM benefits at a reasonable price. SOUND DISTORTED CHANNEL When I got this amp home (which took a lot of strength and three bus seats!), the first thing I tried was the distorted channel and i couldn't believe how great the sound was! i use an Epiphone les Paul and the amp works well with its low end 'chunky' sound. The sound is full and well rounded and the dials actually make a difference to it. The 'reverb' dial gives the sound an incredible lift, although it takes time to get the sound you want, but that is only because the range of available sounds is so large! The "Contour" Dial replaces the typical 'middle' dial on this amp and this can be a blessing or a curse. it is a blessing only once you have got to grips with how it works, before... Read review

Disadvantages: only case i could purchase for the model was very large and hard to transport.

...guitar making art. There are over 300 pieces of abalone shell, each hand inlaid. A guitar with so much craft and creativity should be praised. But it all very well a guitar looking nice but what does it sound like, I hear you ask? Notice that the Custom Legend A-shaped bracing and the Quintad pattern, gives the top greater freedom of vibration. This is awesome when you are playing, because you can feel your insides rumble when you strum a chord. The guitar sounds brilliant plugged in or not. It is easy to play, and produces a very soft beautiful sound. With the round back, which I was told by the shopkeeper, to be a particular favourite in females, because you are able to grip the guitar closer, which makes it easier to play in a folk way.
