    Advantages Advantages Very Quick Drying

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The Price

Having recently moved house I've been rather busy on the DIY / decorating front and have stumbled across a product which is new to me. Traditionally I've always used Polyfilla powder which needs to be mixed with water to the required consistency prior to use. However I've now discovered ready mixed Polyfilla in a tube. But not only is it ready mixed, you can also buy a quick drying version, this is the one I used. APPEARANCE Made by Polycell, "Quick Drying Polyfilla", comes in a 330g tube, a bit similar to a giant tube of toothpaste. The tube is white and blue with a red and yellow tick on the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good preparation.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

I have used Polyfilla for many years and it is a good product. I prefer the powder product that you mix yourself because the tubes tend to have a short shelf life, and as I am always decorating, I know that the powder stored tightly closed will still be there available for use for future jobs. HOW TO USE IT Before using the paste, it is necessary to rake out the cracks and make them into a "V" shape ... more

This product comes with two long reach applicators of different thicknesses so that you can use it in very small spaces too. The nozzles on these applicators are 30mm and 20mm wide. First of all we need to be aware of the safety requirements before using this product. It is recommended that gloves are warn to protect the skin and safety goggles are also suggested. The can must not ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good finish

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as strong as normal fille

Polyfilla is one of the most well known brands for filler products. So when I was recently looking for a product to deal with some minor imperfections in my ceiling prior to painting, I was intrigued by 'Nice and Easy', a ready-mixed filler which is a lot lighter and finer than conventional stuff. It claims to need no sanding, and will dry in c.15 minutes, if the hole was not too deep. It also claims to dry without shrinkage, which is good for bigger holes where normally you would have to build up several layers of filler, with drying time in between. Out of the tub, this stuff is quite firm ... more
