Grundig are a lovely little company, well they are getting bigger by the day, that make technology products such as digital boxes.
What's Freeview?
Freeview is like sky but you don't have to pay. Instead of the normal five channels you get on any TV you can get over 60 with a simple box.
What's The Connection?
Grundig produces a digital terrestrial receviers.
These receviers are basicly what you find inside a television but because most televisions are out of date they haven't been designed to pick up the extra channels. So Grundig have produced a box which plugs into your television to receive these extra channels.

Advantages: Huge zoom, Focus Tracking, Easy to use Disadvantages: Bulky, A little slow, AA batteries are a bit inconvenient
The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered.
The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too.
The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed.
There are 14 preset scenes to choose from, each setting the camera to its optimum settings for the given scenario, but on top of this, the camera can be used ...

Almost everyone has had some contact with digital television, whether it be directly or indirectly through the likes of Sky, NTL, Telewest or the late ITV Digital.
However, FREEVIEW is the latest development for the market, and seems to be quite a good deal.
I recently went into Currys and bought the Grundig GDT 1500 model digital receiver - I bought it for the kitchen, as we already have Sky in the lounge and I am really pleased with it.
The reveiver is silver, comes with a remote control, but no scart lead (which you need). I paid £79.99 for the reveiver itself, and £9.99 for a clever 'digital eye' to go with it (This means that you can hide the receiver behind the TV, and just have the 'digital eye' showing, in order for the remote control to operate the receiver. (A clever, priceless little gadget!)
