...Who Are Grundig? Grundig are a lovely little company, well they are getting bigger by the day, that make technology products such as digital boxes. What's Freeview? Freeview is like sky but you don't have to pay. Instead of the normal five channels you get on any TV you can get over 60 with a simple box. What's The Connection? Grundig produces a digital terrestrial receviers. These receviers are basicly what you find inside a television but because most televisions are out of date they haven't been designed to pick up the extra channels. So Grundig have produced a box which plugs into your television to receive these extra channels. What Do I Get? Advantages: Looks very nice and comes with a ncie proce tag
Disadvantages: The amplifier and speakers dont live upto much (typical Grundig)

...I have worked at Dixons for 18 months now and high indepth knowledge (yes some Dixons employees do know what they are talking about) and as I specialize in audio I have sued most hi-fi systems available. My opionion on all Grundig products is very low. The last Gundig I bought was a long time ago and it broke down three times. Grundig are economy manufatures. Yes their prices are good but AIWA do some very good budget systems for not much extra and the differnence in quality amazing (MD-300 for one). You mayu have also come across Matsui (Dixons own budget brand), Venturer, Pro Line, Bush and, Alba and Goodmans. All these are made my Grundig using the same parts. ...'t to your taste, Grundig have another upgraded model on the market, the GDT-1500. It is slightly larger in size but is curvier and looks modern. However this is reflected in the price. Remote Control ---------------------- If your button mad like me then your going to want to know the feel of the buttons! It has been designed with a curve so it sits snugly in your hand. The button-layout is unchallenging and you've got all the buttons in the right places. See the picture below for a look! On screen display ------------------------- All digital tuners have different screen layouts. Digital terrestrial has what's called and an open MHEG architecture, which basically means that a brand of tuner can design and add whatever it likes with the on screen displays.
