Grundig Gudvd 1 ND at Pioneer Looking to buy a flat screen TV? KURO gives you the best picture quality you can get. Now blacker than ever and with extreme contrast. See for yourself.
.... The problem was choice - tons of it.
Then one day, I popped into Argos, and noticed a Sale catalogue - you know the ones, about a 10 page booklet for their Sale items. I noticed that they were selling this screen, at the reduced price of £999.00 - from the previous £1,500 that it was retailing for.
I went home, and decided to do a little research. Yeah the price was good, but if the quality was poor, then what would be the point. I checked out the Grundig website, and checked out the technical information on the screen. For those who are interested, then I have listed the technical information here for you ( Please dont flame my review, some people are genuinely interested in having such information - and yes I have taken this directly from the grundig website )

Advantages: Full Home Cinema kit with a large subwoofer Disadvantages: Compatability is a question and takes some time to set up
...After seeing this product advertised in Currys, I was pleased to see that it was also on sale. The retail price at the time of buying was £299.99 and considering what's in the package, this is a very good bargain.
The Grundig GDV520 is a DVD player, similar to the other Grundig models. It is pretty robust and has a nice exterior, although the silver finish is not to everyone's liking. The machine itself is very easy to use and has all the functions of a top-of-the-range player. The remote control even glows in the dark, useful for all those late night film watching sessions! The on-screen menus are simple to get to grips with and the pictures are all self explanatory. It has a nice speaker sound set up as well so you can test the Dolby Surround functions and get the speakers set up just right for your room.
This is where we get...

Advantages: Easy to use. Multi-region. Reasonable price. Disadvantages: Not winning any design prizes. A bit bulky.
...The Grundig GDV 210 A. It doesn't altogether look stylish, sexy or futuristic, but is it worth the money? It is fairly bulky, and I relly am not sure why this should be the case, although it appears to affect all players to a certain degree.
It has standard leads (SCART etc)and no nasty surprises out of the box. It sets up easily, with a fairly clear manual. It has a range of options, both for audio system, and visual display. The controls on the front panel dont seem to follow any logic, although the remote is far better.
It's not mentioned in the manual, but it also has multi-region capability. Very handy for those who can get their hands on Region 1 DVD's (although I don't agree with the Region system anyway).
Ultimately, it all comes down to one thing. Is it worth the price? Well I paid £160 for my system just a few months...
