Advantages: Lots of channels Disadvantages: No scart cable!
The Channels:
When I first received the Grundig 1500 I was looking forward to watching the same variety of channels in my room as I can downstairs, (we have the basic Virgin Media package) however, when I set it up (I'll go through the set-up process later) I found out that I had probably even more channels than I did downstairs. Just counting them all up now I have found that I can view around 90 television and radio channels/stations, including some like BBC 3 + 4, ITV 2,3,+ 4, Film 4, and of course those shopping channels!
Setting it up:
When I first got it out of the box the immediate thing I noticed was that I had no scart cable, so I looked in the instructions and sure enough it informed me that a scart cable did not come with the box, thankfully my brother had a broken freeview box (not this model) so I was able to use ...

Advantages: One off payment for a life times supply of extra channels Disadvantages: Does't give you access to sports channels, Sky 1 or any movie channels.
your taste, Grundig have another upgraded model on the market, the GDT-1500. It is slightly larger in size but is curvier and looks modern. However this is reflected in the price.

If your button mad like me then your going to want to know the feel of the buttons! It has been designed with a curve so it sits snugly in your hand.
The button-layout is unchallenging and you've got all the buttons in the right places. See the picture below for a look!
On screen display

All digital tuners have different screen layouts. Digital terrestrial has what's called and an open MHEG architecture, which basically means that a brand of tuner can design and add whatever it likes with the on screen displays.

Advantages: The ladder match, the Main event, the hardcore match Disadvantages: Much of the rest of it seemed like filler
