Thirdly when a broker gives you a quote ask which company it is with. Phone this company independently and ask them for an independendent quote. 90% of the time it is ... ...though stood out to me though. You will be suprised to hear though this wasn't my cheapest quote!
The thing that distinguished it from the other companies was its personnal touch. They visited me at home collecting my details and they also offered a service of collecting payment from home, plus it was very competative on price.
