I bought this product myself, whilst going on holiday in the duty free section. Part of the reason for this is because it is very expensive, especially the eau de parfum. This is a lovely fragrance that is sweet smelling that after one spray lasts for ages, which is why I think it is worth the money spent because it means you have to use less of the perfume, which with some others you have to spray numerous times, over the course of the day in order to still smell it. Whereas, with this one, that isn't necessary. However, I recommend buying the eau de toilette if you don't want to spend as much money, but again, it may mean you have to use more of it. This fragrance is like no other I have ever come across. It is totally unique. Recently new to the market but an instant classic. I sell perfume for a living in Harvey Nichols and this is a perfume adored by all. I've never once sprayed this on to someone's arm and they not have liked it. It can be worn by all ages. It's a long lasting perfume, the scent lingers with you all day. Recognisable. Classed as an oriental floral fragrance. It contains notes of hyacinth and citron, jasmine, pink pepper, fresh vetiver, orris absolute, amber patchouli and white musk. Very romantic and seductive. This product is available in 50ml, 100ml and now handbag size 3x30ml, as well as a range of bath time products. Guerlain Insolence Eau de Toilette - a little bit too bold

Advantages: Fairly pleasant scent; beautiful bottle; very good staying power
Disadvantages: Doesn't smell as expensive as it is; rather heavy and old-fashioned

I bought a selection of mini perfumes from Boots as a treat for myself - it was reduced to £8 and contained five fragrances so I thought that was pretty good value, and I really enjoy trying new perfumes. I had previously seen an advert for Guerlain Insolence. What struck me about that was that I really didn't like the name; insolence is defined as 'an arrogant, insulting or bold mode of conduct or attitude'. To me that doesn't seem anything to aspire to; perhaps they were aiming at a vaguely 'rebellious' teenage market, which would also explain why it's the sponsor for the programme Gossip Girl, which thankfully I have never had to watch.
