I bought a selection of mini perfumes from Boots as a treat for myself - it was reduced to £8 and contained five fragrances so I thought that was pretty good value, and I really enjoy trying new perfumes.
I had previously seen an advert for Guerlain Insolence. What struck me about that was that I really didn't like the name; insolence is defined as 'an arrogant, insulting or bold mode of conduct or attitude'. To me that doesn't seem anything to aspire to; perhaps they were aiming at a vaguely 'rebellious' teenage market, which would also explain why it's the sponsor for the programme Gossip Girl, which thankfully I have never had to watch.
The bottle - even the miniature version I have - is really rather pretty, with a glass rose shape forming the lid, which sits on the rounded bottle at a jaunty angle.

.50 (Boots and Allders, similar prices at other cosmetic counters) you get a transparent plastic tube of 14.2grams (0.5oz). The top of the tube has a screw top which once open reveals and application panel. You apply the gloss directly from the tube which means you don't need a lip brush and don't need to get your fingers mucky. Perfect for application on the go. The applicator is slanted to give a lipstick shape and has a small hole where the gloss glides out onto your lips. The applicator is great if you are applying onto bare lips but it can get a bit mucky if you are applying over the top of lipstick as the colour rubs onto the applicator panel.
I like the fresh scent of the gloss and it doesn't have that unusual synthetic smell/taste that other glosses have such as Elizabeth Arden 8 hr or cheaper own brand chemist versions ...
