Advantages: comprehensive but never dull Disadvantages: absolutely none
...I have hundreds of books on aromatherapy and this is the absolute best for the beginner or those who've been interested for a short while. It's about to come out in paperback too, so it will be an absolute bargain for the vast wealth of knowledge it contains. Wildwood has written several books on the subject, but this is her most comprehensive. She manages to write in a way which is entertaining and informative, but absolutely never patronising - like so many other titles. It contains a very comprehensive guide to essential oils and the many uses to which they can be put. Especially useful, to my mind, is the excellent guide to which oils go best with which. The book covers all the major aspects of a database, such as tables, relationships, forms, queries and reports. You are guided through each of these topics as you assemble a fully working system.
The final sections cover creating a switchboard, linking the database with Word and Excel and using Visual Basic. The building of the project flows nicely, although at times it is unclear what she is referring to.
The second part of consists of 3 chapters. The first covers project ideas, which is useful when working out what to do your project on. The second cover the systems covers the systems life cycle. The final third section covers writing the project report in Word, and shows how to generate an automatic table...
