D'Addario Guitar strings
Review of D'Addario Guitar Strings by Quik-Silver

Advantages: Great sound, easy to install
Disadvantages: Not great for hammers... Solos.

...bout my first set Of D'Addario Guitar strings (Orangle Knickle wound XL) and to be honest at first I thought I was playing with ropes, these things sounded amazing but were as thick as.. well as thick as really thick metal. I persume the guy I asked in the shop to select me some strings for the guitar I owned mabe could have been given a little more information or he wasn't a super assistant. However after playing an hour a day.. ish for about a ...
...twice as much as my previous strings and the sound especiall from the E is just awesome. This was my first time replacing strings and their fantastic colour coded instructons made it very easy for me highly recommended. the only other concern is when ever I am performing hammers with these they are very faint, if not at all audible when I have my amp low. ... KORG GA-30 Guitar/Bass - Tuner, good buy.
Review of Korg GA-30 Guitar/Bass tuner by Hawiz

Advantages: Very easy to use, very accurate.
Disadvantages: Quite small, loud noises can interfere with tuning with built in mic.

This is a must for any musician on the move, or simply someone who needs to tune guitars often. The whole thing is incredibly easy to use, with three clear lights that light up according to the note. To use it, you can either use the built in microphone, and it will pick up the sounds very easily, but can be troublesome if there is too much background noise, things like a tv, even other guitars playing in the background can be fine, but there are ...
...simply use your musical cable (same type you use for an amplifier) and plug it into the jack socket in the side of the tuner. It will then pick up anything you play. The small dial alternates between the right and left sides, making it very clear how far you are from hitting the right note. The red lights will turn off and the middle green light will turn on as soon as you are close enough to the right note. There is the option to tune flat to ... Read review

To C#-F#-C#-F#-Bb-B, And Back (A QWIK Review!)
Review of Qwik Tune Chromatic Guitar Tuner by scream4bruce

Advantages: For alternate tunings, tune by plugging in directly or by mic
Disadvantages: Often shows wrong notes

There's an Automatic Guitar tuner version of this (which is silver-coloured, not gold), but should you need a dBGDGD, drop-D or need to come down a semitone down from standard - something other than eBGDAE, then give this a look. As well as the display there are LED's to show whether you are flat/sharp (within 50 cents). Electric instruments can be plugged in directly at the top (thus you can tune quietly) whilst there is a built-in mic to pick up ...
...to pick up on the lower pitches, and when tuning, the note can often alternate between right and wrong - the wrong tends to be fifths for reasons which might trouble those new to playing an instrument. The on/off button is not that responsive, and sometimes the symbol indicating low on battery power shows when there is still some usage left from the 2 AAA batteries it requires. The pitch pipe (ascending in semitones from middle C) can help those ... Read review

Boss Chromatic Tu-2 Tuner
Review of Boss TU2 Chromatic Tuner and Power Supply Pedal by BenMeredith123

Advantages: Cheap, Big Display, Robust
Disadvantages: Goes Through Battery's Slightly Fast But Nothing Major!!!!

Hi Dudes!!! The best tuner ever, forget your rack gear and pro audio nonsense, this is definatly the best tuning pedal there is. You can run this pedal through your effects loops or run it straight thrpugh into your amp either way works fine. The stomp action allows you to by-pass the tuner when not using and retain your sound with no differennce but when you press it down to tune it cuts of sound coming from your ampliphier so people in the pub ... Get in tune, stay in tune
Review of Qwik Tune QT1 Guitar and Bass Tuner by JeffFromPoole

Advantages: Allows anyone to tune a guitar exactly
Disadvantages: none

I bought the Qwik Tune Guitar tuner about four years ago when I decided to take up playing the guitar again after nearly thirty years. There was a time, when my ears where much younger and I played four hours per day when I could tune a guitar solely by ear but nowadays I need a little help. A digital guitar tuner gives a clear indication of the precise state of your tuning, so that even if you have the worst set of cloth ears you will still be ...
...The Qwik tune TD1 is a slim plastic case which takes a 9 volt battery. On the front is an LCD display, three LEDs and three buttons. On the side are standard quarter inch jack sockets, marked in and out, so that you can use the tuner with an electric guitar, in line to the amplifier. The LCD display shows which string you are tuning, how close you are to being in tune and whether you are sharp or flat. In addition, the three LEDs, one green and ... Read review
