marshall ms 2 is a great pocket amp
Advantages: sounds great, easy to move around Disadvantages: not many settings to chose from
i strongly agree that the marshall ms 2 pocket amp is perfect for people who cant pull around a big heavy amp. it is perfect for practicing or if your on the road, it is very transportable and it can be cliped onto your belt and because it uses battery not just mains electric you can walk and play aswell. i think that it is a great value for money and wont depreciate so if you decide to sell you will get your money back. the only down side is that ...

Vox VT15 Guitar Amp
Advantages: LOADS of features. Good sound. Quite versatile! Disadvantages: Some may find it confusing to understand, get the sound they want etc. Some presets lack the oomph
...this for £155
The Vox VT15 is one of these modeling amps. It has:
"VOX Valve Reactor circuit that uses a 12AX7 to produce real tube power amp sound"
Just the one 12ax7 tube. Speaker wise it has 1x 8 inch 4 ohm speaker, Vox "original" they say it is. Now for the overwhelming amount of features this lil bugger has!
. 22 amp models
. 3 banks for each amp model (so 66)
. 12 effects
. 22 song presets
. 4 channels letting you save 2 of your own ... ...traditionalists may prefer the classic Vox grille cloth. I certainly do but I suppose chrome goes with the more modern approach and many features and technology.
Only wish they had a tuner built in.
Sound.
The sound is great! Almost all of the presets are brilliant, some are lacking the oomph and clarity, but the good ones do shine. I get good clean sounds from it and great classic rock and all sorts from it! Not so suitable for heavy metal im ...

One of the best practise amps you can find
Advantages: Excellent value for money Disadvantages: None really
The Marshall MG series has always been my first choice when it comes to good cheap amplification. It can deliver a huge range of tones, and is very easy to use. Like all Marshalls, it can take a great deal of punishment and will last you a very long time. This thing is small, and is very light and easy to carry, and also can be turned up loud, should you need to do a quick jam with a drummer. It's no tube amp, it's not gonna make your guitar sound ...

Good Sound Quality
Advantages: Excellent sound quality Disadvantages: Does not include artist presets unlike the 75 watt version
...favorite settings on this amp. Line 6 have successful managed to create a setting that has a huge amount of distortion. The setting is designed to give out high levels of distortion without having any effect on the sound quality. The built in effects are an excellent feature and are one of my favorite aspects of the product. On the left hand side of the master volume knob are the echo effects. "Sweep Echo"- The sweep echo feature allows the user ... ...amp. "Tap Echo"- The tap echo feature allows the user to choose how regularly the note echos by using a button located above the knob. The user taps the button at the tempo he would like the note to echo and the amp changes the setting to match the desired tempo. "Reverb"- The reverb feature creates a very distant sound. The sound is very much like someone shouting in a large echoing room. I've had the amp for around 3 months now and am very pleased ...

A very useful amp to those who want to experiment/play a variety
Advantages: A massive catalogue of great sounds to be tweaked to your liking Disadvantages: Some knobs feel a tad plasticky
I bought this amp for about £180 off eBay after extensive research and painstaking searching to make sure it would be right. Let me start by saying that this amp is truly amazing - the catalogue of sounds that it can produce is amazing, drawing from many great amps in its heritage. Coupled with my Epiphone Les Paul Custom it sounds brilliant all the way from blues to punk and heavy metal. The main feature about this amp that i love is the first dial ... ...be called the "decide how much you want to annoy the neighbours" dial. Leave it timidly on the left side in the clean and blues settings and this amp will lovingly construct your melodic riffs with professional sounding sustains and bends. Next door the dad will be happily reading a magazine in the garden. After a while you may choose to up the ante to "crunch" or "metal" settings and all of a sudden your angelic sounding amp gets a punk makeover ...
