Good classic Amp!
Advantages: British made, warm tone, classic crunch & good all rounder Disadvantages: None
...even pop!
I had a Marshall for a year and it allowed me to be very creative as a player and performer.
Overall, Marshalls are a reliable and great sounding amps and I had absolutely no problems with mine. When using a Marshall head for liver performances you need to get it PAT tested (your nearest music shop should be able to do this for you) and it costs around £20. I highy reccommend Marshalls! ...

Stage Pressence
Advantages: Great amps Disadvantages: None
...------- Jim Marshall was a London Businessman selling Musical equipment in the 1960's. Due to the lack of quality amplification around at the time, (Vox being the only decent company around) Marshall decided to start his own Amp building business. From the very start, he was producing superb equipment and soon developed a world wide reputation for syle and quality. It all started in 1962 with the building of the JTM45. A simple combo type amp which ... ...the deliverance of the smooth Marshall sound today. Design ------ Most of the Marshall amplificcation looks a standard way. This is uniform throughout the range and give the user the feel that he belongs to a much larger family, even if he only owns a little combo. The heads are finished in Black cloth with Grey/White Woven Grilles. The metalwork is all finished in either Brass or Gold with the White Marshall logo in the middle of the speakers. you ...

Marshall DSL 50 - Pure Rock Heaven!
Advantages: All the authentic classic rock tones you will ever need. Sounds amazing. Simple. Great value. Disadvantages: Some features not foot-switchable which limits its potential. Clean/Crunch volume difference.
...you. This just screams classic marshall through and through - it does exactly what it says on the tin. With only global EQ its not over complicated so it doesn't feel like your about to land a space shuttle every time you want to make a slight tweak to your sound, but it offers versatility. I can achieve a range of different tones with minimal adjustment and the 'Tone Shift' switch which scoops the mid frequencies offers another dimension. The 'Deep' ... ...same way for decades and Marshall stick to what they know best. The DSL 50 has that unmistakeable Marshall sound and I absolutely love it! In my opinion, this amp performs best when the raw sound of the amp is left to come through, uncoloured by FX pedals.
The clean setting is warm and full bodied and just sounds awesome. I've previously used a fender twin and although that clean sound was superb there is something about the marshall that i just ...

Vox VT15 Guitar Amp
Advantages: LOADS of features. Good sound. Quite versatile! Disadvantages: Some may find it confusing to understand, get the sound they want etc. Some presets lack the oomph
...this for £155
The Vox VT15 is one of these modeling amps. It has:
"VOX Valve Reactor circuit that uses a 12AX7 to produce real tube power amp sound"
Just the one 12ax7 tube. Speaker wise it has 1x 8 inch 4 ohm speaker, Vox "original" they say it is. Now for the overwhelming amount of features this lil bugger has!
. 22 amp models
. 3 banks for each amp model (so 66)
. 12 effects
. 22 song presets
. 4 channels letting you save 2 of your own ... ...traditionalists may prefer the classic Vox grille cloth. I certainly do but I suppose chrome goes with the more modern approach and many features and technology.
Only wish they had a tuner built in.
Sound.
The sound is great! Almost all of the presets are brilliant, some are lacking the oomph and clarity, but the good ones do shine. I get good clean sounds from it and great classic rock and all sorts from it! Not so suitable for heavy metal im ...

Good Sound Quality
Advantages: Excellent sound quality Disadvantages: Does not include artist presets unlike the 75 watt version
...favorite settings on this amp. Line 6 have successful managed to create a setting that has a huge amount of distortion. The setting is designed to give out high levels of distortion without having any effect on the sound quality. The built in effects are an excellent feature and are one of my favorite aspects of the product. On the left hand side of the master volume knob are the echo effects. "Sweep Echo"- The sweep echo feature allows the user ... ...amp. "Tap Echo"- The tap echo feature allows the user to choose how regularly the note echos by using a button located above the knob. The user taps the button at the tempo he would like the note to echo and the amp changes the setting to match the desired tempo. "Reverb"- The reverb feature creates a very distant sound. The sound is very much like someone shouting in a large echoing room. I've had the amp for around 3 months now and am very pleased ...
