Advantages: Hours of fun, insane tracks Disadvantages: Not enough tracks to download...not much story
...Ready To Rock?...
It's Guitar Hero 3...Legends of Rock
Introduction
'Guitar hero 3 Legends of Rock' is the 3rd game in the 'Guitar Hero' franchise and undoubtedly the best, as expected. It was released on the 23rd of November in 2007 and was met with high expectations after their success with previous games.
In my opinion this game really doesn't disappoint, it provides you with hours of delightful gameplay and defiantly ... ...being the one this games guitar is based upon. Also 2 other game characters are found either side of him those being 'Judy Nails' holding a 'Gibson SG' and 'Lars Ümlaüt' holding a 'Flying V' all of which can be bought during the game. This cover really does paint the picture of Rock! Each of the characters on the front are presented well, 'Slash' with his signature top hat and dark shades giving him his usual rockish look, whilst the other ...

Advantages: It rocks, I rock, you rock! Disadvantages: Track listing could be better, can't access co-op songs.
...ignorant to the ways of Guitar Hero until I (rather unfortunately) discovered a friend playing it. I was at that moment, immediately hooked.
Guitar Hero is similar to "Dance, Dance, Revolution" in that you listen to music and button sequences fly past the screen. You have to hit the buttons in order, and at the right time, in order to rack up the points. Admittedly this doesn't sound very good, but when you consider that your controller in this ... ...hugely entertaining! With the guitar controller, not only do you have to press the corresponding button at the correct time, you also have to "strum" using the plastic strummer on the guitar. Hit a long note? You can even use the "whammy" bar to create distortion and sustain on those long notes! The way Guitar Hero is developed, as you hit the notes they are indeed "played" on your console. If you miss the notes, no sound is played, therefore the ...

Advantages: Great fun, You will like it even if you don't like Guitars, Good multiplayer laughs Disadvantages: Expensive, Have to unlock Co - Op songs in Co - Op mode
...never played any of the guitar hero series games before until Guitar Hero 3 came out. I got into the guitar hero series because I had been to a Guitar Hero 3 party and my friends had it. I had hured of the series but never played it until then. I first played it then and was not overly impressed.
When I first played the game it was really new to me and as fun and exciting that it looked when other people were playing their favorite songs on expert ... ...and my first experience of Guitar Hero 3 was not very good. I think it's because when you first play it's difficult or at least it was I. I then had another go couple weeks after that and I found that I was much better and I still got beaten by my friend but I was better it was much more entertaining than the last time I played it this was because I was better but I wanted to play it more and more so I went out and bought it and was very impressed.

Advantages: Online play and easier pull offs and hammer ons. Disadvantages: Track list is hardly "Rock" few songs are likable. Guitar Hero 2 is better
...on the Xbox 360 was guitar hero 2, such a great game. For some reason Neversoft got hold of the rights and, in a way, have turned guitar hero 3 into a failure. Of course guitar hero 3 was always going to well whether the game was any good or not, simply because of the greatness of guitar hero 2. Please just read this review before buying guitar hero 3.
THE GAME
If you have never played a guitar hero game then this is how the game works. You have ... ...the top end of the guitar where the fret board is. Then there is the strum bar where you would obviously strum the guitar strings, and not to forget the Whammy bar which I will come to later. Once you have connected your guitar to the XBOX 360 you are ready to play. On the screen is a virtual fret board which is moving colored guitar notes towards you. When the note reaches the line at the bottom of the screen you simply hold down the corresponding ...

Advantages: Fun, different, great for parties, different levels Disadvantages: A lot of unknown tracks, need to reset for left/right handed
...played any of the other Guitar Hero games so can't say whether it is better than the first two. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do it or not, but after my first couple of goes I really got the hang of it and I was hooked. You don't even have to really like rock music, it's just about the skill of pressing the buttons and strumming at the right time. It can get very competative, and it's a great feeling when you get loads of notes correct ... ...fact that you play a guitar instead of dancing on a mat. The idea is still the same,to hit the notes at the right time.
I didn't recognise a lot of the tracks, but there are a few well known ones, but it doesn't really matter about that anyway, as you get to know the ones that you are good at.
The only disadvantage is that if you are left handed and the guitar has been set up as a right handed game, it is pretty much impossible to play as the buttons ...
