I have never played any of the guitar hero series games before until Guitar Hero 3 came out. I got into the guitar hero series because I had been to a Guitar Hero 3 party and my friends had it. I had hured of the series but never played it until then. I first played it then and was not overly impressed.
When I first played the game it was really new to me and as fun and exciting that it looked when other people were playing their favorite songs on expert and having guitar battles. I first got handed the guitar and had a go on one of the easiest songs on the game on easy. When I started the graphics were good and it was fun however I played it and I kept missing notes and my friend beat me. I was bored annoyed and my first experience of Guitar Hero 3 was not very good. I think it's because when you first play it's difficult or at least it was I. I then had another go couple weeks after that and I found that I was much better and I still got beaten by my friend but I was better it was
much more entertaining than the last time I played it this was because I was better but I wanted to play it more and more so I went out and bought it and was very impressed.
I went out and got Guitar Hero for the Xbox 360. It cost me £65 ($127) this I did want think was very good the price all your getting is the game of Guitar Hero 3, The Guitar Hero Les Paul guitar and two AA batteries. My reasons for the it not being a good deal is the fact that the Nintendo Wii's version has a place for the nintendo Wii controller where as you can retarge the batteries. Sure you can buy rechargeable batteries but they could have adapted the Xbox 360 Guitar so that it could have the used the Xbox 360 rechargeable battery pack but that is the only flaw with the Guitar. My Guitar has not broken and has been fine I have not seen any cases of broken guitars unlike rock band that has had multiple cases of broken guitars.
Starting with the Guitar it's shaped like a real guitar such a nice to feel when your playing Guitar Hero. The Guitar has 5 different colored frets Green, Red, Yellow, Blue and Orange. The 5 frets are their for when you play different difficultly the Green, Red and Yellow frets are their for when you play on easy, then the Blue fret goes into play for when you play the Medium difficulty and then the Orange fret comes into play for when you play either the hard or expert difficulty. As you can see as the difficulty goes up the more frets are needed to be used. In order to play the notes you have to strum the notes using the strum bar and theirs a whammy bar that is used to change the pitch of the note and to get the star power out of the notes. Theirs the usual start and back buttons to.
To start off theirs a Career mode where you make a band and start playing gigs theirs a set song list for every venue where you play at and the song list gets harder the further you advance in the Career mode. In the Career you have to play boss battles against famous guitar plays like Slash and Lou. After playing a song in Career you get a star rating depending on how well you play it could be anything between 3 - 5 stars. Then you get a low down of how much you got paid and how much pay you have lost in a comic way for such reasons as the Green room being smashed, or how many cars have been set on fire. You can spend the pay that you earn at the games shop and buy new songs, guitars, and outfits for the people you play as and you can also buy new people to play as. The Career mode has cut sense as you progress though the Career.
Theirs a Quick mode where you choose a difficulty and a song to play and then the game will choose a venue to play and who you play as which is cool if you just want to play a quick song and just have a quick laugh rather than going into the Career mode where you can play though the Career and you have to customize everything.
The Multiplayer mode is very good, 2 players can play at once. The game modes include Battle mode and Co - op mode. In Battle mode you can battle each other and theirs no star power but instead power ups where you can use to aid you or disadvantage the player who you are playing against then you battle any song you like until theirs a winner. You can also play in Co - op mode with a friend, which is just playing the Career mode with your friends and their are some songs to unlock if you do this. Theirs also Xbox live mode but if you play on their it's just the same and just as fun as playing in Multiplayer modes with your friend.
Overall I completely love Guitar Hero and would completely recommend it to anybody. If you or if you don't like Guitars or Rock music you will always find some fun in playing couple of songs out on here. The only flaw that there is, the fact about the Guitar using double A batterys but that can be easily put right. I would recommend Guitar Hero 3 to you.

nice review!
true that the game is hard at first, but when you get into it, its addictive.
and btw, about th wii remote, its soooo annoying to have to take it out of the guitar to select the game channel, then put it back in every single time, but seriously, good job
