Advantages Advantages Great if you're an Aerosmith fan

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Dumbed down

For those of you who have never played a Guitar Hero game on any format, you could do a lot worse than start on this game. The series of games have fast become some of the most popular games around, mimicking the way you might play the guitar and giving gamers the chance to feel like Rock Gods! The reality is that there are only a few similarities between the Guitar Hero guitar and the real thing, but it's the fun element, and the feeling of playing it that appeals to fans of the game. Guitar Hero works on the premise of having 5 buttons on the neck, as opposed to the strings you would find on ... more

Advantages Advantages Aerosmith songs and Cat Scratch Fever AND RUN-DMC

Disadvantages Disadvantages little shorter and easier than Guitar Hero 3

Guitar Hero Aerosmith follows Guitar Hero 3, and is almost an expantion pack featuring many new guitars, characters and songs. This is still an absolutely brilliant game, there are a lot of Aerosmith songs on this game obviously but there are a few classics such as Cat Scratch Fever and King Of Rock to make this game a little less entirely Aerosmith. The Mulitplayer and Online play are exactly the same as Guitar Hero 3, which was fantastic! Guitar Hero Aerosmith is quite a lot shorter than GH3, due to there not being as many tiers in the career mode. I found this one a little bit more easier ... more

Advantages Advantages A wide range of songs from Aerosmith and other rockin' bands.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Is impossibly hard on the higher difficulties.

The Guitar Hero games may seem simple but are actually fairly challenging, especialy on the harder modes. Once you have selected a song, a guitar fretboard starts moving towards you, as the song starts, coloured discs start moving towards you. These discs represent notes or chords, to play a note, you must hold down the correct button on the guitar controller (included) and strum using the bar. If you miss a note, your ROCK bar goes down and when that reaches 0, you fail the song and are booed off stage. As I said, this may seem simple but as the songs get faster and harder, more notes appear ... more

Advantages Advantages It is a fun game

Disadvantages Disadvantages You cannot download more songs

I really like this game. If at first you thought "I don't really like all that rock and stuff..." , I did too. But now I love this game. Here is some specific detail: The songs: The songs are great. Especially if you like 70's and 80's rock and Aerosmith. I actually learned some new songs, and liked them a lot. In fact, some of them are my favorite songs now. Here are some of the songs that I like from Guitar Hero: -I Hate Myself for Loving You -All Day and All of the Night -Paint It Black -Welcome to the Jungle -Rock You Like a Hurricane -Slow Ride -Barracuda -Rock 'n Roll All Nite -I Love ... more
