Advantages: Great Songs and weeks of fun if your a completionist Disadvantages: Same old same old, very repetitive
...so if you are a Guitar Hero virgin then this is probably the best place to start. With a huge aray of downloadable content and GH Tunes where you can download user created songs does make the game that much better.
The game has a very similar set up Guitar Hero Metallica, in career mode, each new venue is unlocked by gathering a set number of performance stars. Career does have a lengthly play time if you want to complete it on the ... ...a big judgemental and maybe Guitar Hero has reached such sucess because each of the games are similar, and thats why people love the game so much.
My personal opinion, if you are new to the game then this is the game for you to buy as it is amazing on so many different levels but if you have one of the previous versions i suggest waiting for something new like DJ Hero or Band Hero otherwise you will just be doing the same thing over ... more

Well, not really to be honest
Its a compilation of the "best" 48 songs from previous versoins of the game, so if you are a Guitar Hero virgin then this is probably the best place to start. With a huge aray of downloadable content and GH Tunes where you can download user created songs does make the game that much better.
The game has a very similar set up Guitar Hero Metallica, in career mode, each new venue is unlocked by gathering a set number of performance stars. Career does have a lengthly play time if you want to complete it on the different difficulties and with each of the different instruments.
Online play is pretty similar to the older versions of the game. Now I know i'm being a big judgemental and maybe Guitar Hero has reached such sucess because each of the games are similar, and thats why people love the game so much.
My personal opinion, if you are new to the game then this is the game for you to buy as it is amazing on so many different levels but if you have one of the previous versions i suggest waiting for something new like DJ Hero or Band Hero otherwise you will just be doing the same thing over and over again.
But be warned, its not as easy as it looks and may take alot of work to get it right, but trust me, its worth it, and overall its generally an excellent product. -harrry1993
