It is a very hard game, ... ...their songs and the solo guitar riffs. It really works your fingers out.
There are other Guest appearances and songs from other bands to bolster the song list (Queen, Slayer, thin lizzy etc) but if you are a Metallica fan you will be solely concentrating on mastering their songs.
The downside to the game is the career mode which is a bit limited and just seems to be working your way through the song list rather than having ... more

Visually the game looks great as it has recreated the band but it a more caricature way. The songs as I said are incredible and with top quality sound too, you get a lot of satisfaction rocking out to Enter Sandman or Master of Puppets.
It is a very hard game, I have found it a lot harder than most Guitar Hero world tour songs (with a few exceptions) but just means you have to practice more. The reason for it being much more difficult is the complexity of many of their songs and the solo guitar riffs. It really works your fingers out.

I have played EVERY Guitar Hero that has ever been conceived by those clever little people in Activision and Red Octane and the other affiliates and I wasn't going to stop my tradition. So, I bought GH: Metallica. I was not disappointed. In any case, I love Metallica. I am a metal head through and through, and their music just appeals to me. So when I got the chance to sit there for hours on end, PLAYING their songs, how could I resist? They've incorporated ... ...a 5 Star, 98% beast of a song, and my brother's sat there next to me trying not to hit me. I love Guitar Hero. I love Metallica. If you love me, then you should love GH: Metallica. It's an amazing game, so grab your axe and getting shredding! ...

Always wanted a guitar hero game that just had all the good songs on it? Well here it is. This game was packed full of great tunes from mettalica. Their old and new songs were all packed into this new game. The graphics have also improved on this newer edition. The new songs make the gme much more interesting and fun seeing as there was always songs that you never wanted to play on that dreaded campaign mode! All the songs are ready to rock your ... ...others in the guitar hero range however, once you get used to play in the metallica tempo and rhythm it all becomes much easier than swapping between many different bands and having to alter the way you are rocking your guitar. Overall this game seemed much better than the other guitar hero games and i believe has taken off well since it's release. If you are looking for a game that takes a while to complete but never gets boring then look no further! ...

...very much like the other Guitar Hero's except most of the songs are by Metallica and the band actually looks like them, very cool! The game allows you to play bass, guitar or drums (and also sing) along to 28 of Metallica's greatest hits including Master of Puppets, Nothings Else Matters, Fuel, Enter Sandman, One, Fade to Black, The Unforgiven etc etc. The game also allows you to play 21 other songs from various other bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, ... ...much in the way of guitar playing skills, never played a guitar in my life (except the Guitar Hero guitar), but I did find this extremely fun, though it did take some getting used to but thats just me! Would definitely recommend if you enjoyed the other games or even if you enjoy a bit of rock/metal. ...
