game series, have also developed Guitar Hero: World Tour, it is the next new title in the Guitar Hero franchise bringing with it a whole host of innovative new features and a requirement for other musical instrument peripherals in order to play the game most effectively as a band. This makes the game a lot more fun to play socially with friends and was an obvious area for extension after Guitar Hero III. Guitar Hero: World Tour's music tracks are fun to play, arenas whilst you play the music are highly detailed and colourful, whilst remaining varied, and it also feels like the music has become easier to play.

** What is included **
In the full band pack you get; a guitar, a set of drums, a usb microphone (that you can use for other games like BoogieStar for the Wii and Rockband and also to record audio on a computer) and the actual game itself.
** The songs **
This guitar hero contains some famous bands and singers such as Bon Jovie (Livin' on a prayer), Michael Jackson (Beat It), Oasis (Some Might Say), Ozzy Osbourne (Crazy Train) and Linkin Park. This version of Guitar hero has 25% worth of very good songs while the other 75% have OK songs.
** Guitar **
The guitar has changed allot from its predecessor now having a touch-pad fret bored. Also the start button has moved and there is a circle towards the bottom of the guitar which is used as the PS button and also a directional pad. The difficulty levels have a good mix of beginner with easy simple notes and expert which is nearly imposible and is for the best of the best.
** Drums **
The drums take 3-4 songs to get use to before you can start playing without looking at them. The symbols are sensitive so if you hit them hard you will get a louder noise. You also get a foot pedal. In the middle of the symbols is a control pad which basicly is a PS controller without the anolong sticks. The actual game layout is the same on the TV as with the guitar.
** Microphone **
The microphone layout on the screen is set out like Singstar with the higher the notes, the higher the pitch. The down side to the microphone is that you have to plug it in to the actual playstation and you have to have a PS3 controller as well. But you have to actually plug it in to one of the Playsation's USB ports.
** Career Mode **
The career mode in World Tour is a lot different to the previous, you get to choose from a series of gigs all across the world, you usually have about at least 3 different ones to choose from.
** Multiplayer **
In World Tour you can have a "battle of the bands" like face-off playing in a band versus another band, with your band mates playing with you in person or via the web.
** Character Creation **
You now can create your own character to use in the career mode or multiplayer. You can crate your character totally from scratch, choosing your own type, colour and finer details on your instrument, the shade, length and style of your hair, the material, length and type of clothes and also the height, width and race of your actual character.
** Band Creation **
Plus you can create your own band, you can choose the name of your band and also choose your album artwork / band logo.
** Create your own music **
You also get to create your own music on the game and share them across the whole wide world and you can also download other people's songs which they have created. Plus you can record a song in a group at the same time.
** Graphics & Animation **
The graphics for this game is good (as always with the guitar hero series), also the characters have new group moves where three musicians on the stage (Bass, Lead Guitar and Singer), come together and sing in one microphone.
** Conclusion **
This version of Guitar Hero makes you create almost anything you want (guitar hero wise)This is a very good game but to be honest these days not many people can afford it but if you have some spare money on the side it will keep you entertained for hours to come.
Advantages: Days and days and days of rocking out! Disadvantages: Not as many top tunes as you would have thought
...got myself a free bass guitar (can use gh3 guitar if you have it on the same format) and immediately rang round to get a band together and rock out. Within the space of half hour everyone was wanting to get on the drums and have a whack along to the 80+ songs you could play. Of course being the owner of the game, im first on the drums, make sure you shotgun it whenever you have people round to play!!
As i said previously, 80+ songs of ranging decades ... ...the bands online play, single guitar and drums mode (where you can practice before your other band members turn up) and you can also create your own song in the GH studio. There is one catch though, you cant lay down any lyrics, i would assune this would be because people would just swear to the cows come home and the only way activision could keep the 12 rating is to leave this off, never mind no ones wants to put their voice on a track anyway theyre ...

Advantages: great new additions + great for parties Disadvantages: some sensetivity problems with the hardware
...realism. The change in the guitar design also makes the guitar both look and feel alot more real than previous designs, and the touch sensetive pads allow for great guitar solos. The microphone addition is like having an improved guitar hero game and singstar all in one package as all aspects work together nicely.
A huge collection of songs are available on the CD, alot of memorable and recognisable tracks that you'll love - but you're not limited ... ...create, record and publish their own beats to put online and have other users download and play.
There are other such additions such as character creators which are really nice additions and you can really make the character look like yourself if you want to. All in all, definately worth a purchase, whether you're experienced with the series or not, it has plenty of modes whther you want to play individually or as a band, you'll have endless hours ...

Advantages: easy and enjoyable Disadvantages: bit pricey for some
a great evolution of the guitar hero series the new guitar is bigger, more realistic and with the new edition of the touchpad on the frets makes solo's more fun and interesting than before. also in my opinion using the new touchpad is so much cooler. the song list is good with some great songs, i think, on there but not as many huge hits as you could expect. also dissapointingly unlike GH3 there is no "talk about" song such as one or through fire ... ...on experiance on world tour is to be honest outstanding. The edition of drums and mic make playing in a band with your mates lots of fun and its a great social game, i've used it at a party to great effect. overall its a fantastic game but slightly overpriced. ...

Advantages: Great Fun With Mates Disadvantages: Too Expensive For Some
In my experience Guitar Hero World Tour has to be one of the greatest game out. Not only does it provide an enthralling experience alone, one in which i myself have spent have spent hours trying to complete, but it really provides a truely brilliant and entertaining experience when you hav a few mates over all playing together. It may cost a considerable amount for all the instruments, but in my opinion it's really worth the price. The graphics are ... ...master recordins from the artists. The choice of tracks is superb, nothing beats getting 100% on one of your favourite songs. There is lots of replay value in Guitar Hero World Tour, as you are always striving to get 100%, and there are the guitar, drums and vocals to master. ...

Advantages: Portable, new songs Disadvantages: Awkward to press all the buttons, bruises your hand!
is a way you can stop either of these things happening, other than maybe using some velcro pads to secure the add-on piece to your DS, and wearing a plaster over the aforementioned bone - both of which will probably look quite unsightly.
It is also quite difficult to use the whammy bar when you first play, but you get used to after it after a few songs.
My other disappointment was that about five of the songs in GuitarHero On Tour feature on GuitarHero III, which is a bit lazy in my opinion. I'm sure with such a major franchise they could have stretched to another five new songs, but then I suppose they are saving up for GuitarHeroWorldTour for the PS3.
So in conclusion, I am pleased that GuitarHero is now available to play on DS, and enjoy it as much as the other GuitarHero games on other platforms, but I hope that if ...
