This game is available as part of 3 bundles.
Just the disc, the disc and the guitar and the complete set which has a guitar (wireless), drums (wireless) and microphone (wired).
I purchased the Guitar & Disc version for my fiance for around £59.99 from HMV just before Christmas.
This was the cheapest that I had seen the game advertised and after Christmas it was available for somewhere between £30-£40 in various high street stores as part of their post Christmas Sales.
The game has many songs on it (which I will list later) and comes with stickers for decorating your guitar or whatever you like.
The aim of the game is to become a guitar hero and play along in one of the five difficulty modes (Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard & Expert!).
You have five notes on the guitar, yellow, green, blue, red & orange which you use to play in time with the music.
You have to press the notes and strum the strum bar to hit the right note.
The guitar we received also comes with a whammy bar which you can use for the long notes and an additional area which you can use to freestyle play the guitar.
The songs on
this disc are fantastic for playing guitar to and I often find myself pretending that I really am a guitar hero!
I find that this game can really suit most people and my 9 year old niece has a copy that she absolutely adores and she is quite good at playing on the medium level now, which is no easy feat on some of the songs!
I would definitely recommend beginner to play as you don't have to worry about hitting the notes and just strum and this leaves you open to getting used to when you have to strum and learning some of the more difficult songs.
Beginner incorporates the notes also and means that you can slowly work you way through to playing like an expert!
Medium brings in two notes simultaneously and is definitely not for those that just aren't co-ordinated!
Hard is just that, hard, only some of the songs are incredibly hard and no matter how good I get I just can't seem to hit them! You have lots of notes in between the normal beat making the game much harder and this difficulty incorporates the orange 5th note (which makes the gameplay very hard indeed!)
I can't personally comment on the expert difficulty as I have had no experience with it at all but I have seen clips of this on a well known video sharing website and it looks out of this world.
The whole screen will generally fill up with all 5 notes and it is far to fast for me to even want to attempt it!!!!

You can also use the xbox live feature to download additional songs but I can't comment on the usability of this features as I am not a member of Xbox Live, although once i've experienced it at a friends house I will ensure I update this review!
You can play this alone or with friends and my fiance and I sometimes sharing the guitar playing and singing song to song.
You can use the XBox Live headset you receive with the Xbox to sing but you must position and hold the microphone close to your mouth otherwise I find that it doesn't pick you up.
You can play career mode or quickplay for the days when you just fancy a quick song or two (never easy to put the guitar away again afterwards as I just enjoy this game so much!).
I would recommend this as a must have game for any real music fans or Xbox 360 fans.
It's worth adding that all the guitar hero instruments will be playable with the new version of Rock Band (2) when it comes out in a few weeks!
This game is currently available with the guitar for £59.99 from amazon.co.uk or for the same price in your local HMV store.

So what are skins? Skins are new so we get asked this question all the time. Are they ... more
covers? Do they clip on? What are they made of? So here's the boring but important bit. Essentially skins are like STICKERS but so much more (and better!).
