Epiphone EJ-200
Review of Epiphone EJ-200 Acoustic Guitar by
rossdev
Advantages: Big sound, Big tone
Disadvantages: Big body is not good for some tastes
First off, I will explain quickly the main specifications on this beautiful guitar:
Spruce top, Maple back, sides and neck, Jumbo sized guitar, No cutaway.
This guitar is absolutely gorgeous. If you find a picture of it, you will know exactly what I mean. First impressions on this guitar are that it looks wonderful, and is a very big bodied guitar.
This may take some getting used to, but after the first few plays, it becomes easier. The tone on ... ...I personally am an indie/rock player, but it suits blues and plays jazzy styles well too.
It isdefinitely more of a strummers guitar than a solo-ers (if that's a correct term) guitar. THe higher frets are harder to reach, and with no cutaway, getting above 15 is pretty hard. The neck is very smooth and fast to play on, almost begging the fingers to the right frets, it is so nice.
Un-amplified this guitar sounds very sweet, warm and feels so easy ...

review of Epiphone Hummingbird Acoustic Guitar
Review of Epiphone Hummingbird Acoustic Guitar by
Diamond_Joe
Advantages: very playable
Disadvantages: short sustain
The Epipiphone Hummingbird is my first Acoustic guitar i have not stolen off my dad. £300 is not a bad deal, seeing as the Gibson acoustics are all around £3000. The looks and finish of this guitar are very nice, i enjoy graphics on my guitar as long as they arent too loud, and this 'mockingbird' illustration is just plain pleasent. The shape of the guitar is perfect so that it can sit on your lap for hours and not ache, partly due to its incredibly ... ...you can get for a £300 acoustic, and times I thought I was playing an electric, the fretboard was just so slim, the strings were at perfect distance from the fretboard. The sound is not as good as the playability I must admit, probably because of the lightweight body, it is not hard enough to sustain the notes for a very long time, but I'd still say the sound and sustain are both average and what you'd expect for £300.
I am unsure as to how long ...

Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar
Review of Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar by
SkaterAaron
Advantages: the smooth flowing fretboard ( hands dont stick )
Disadvantages: The style may not be for some peoples interests
...all the hallmarks of the Epiphone Dove Acoustic Guitar, it is sister to the Epiphone Hummingbird. This baby really sings with a solid sound, its has staggeringly beautiful maple back and sides. The Epiphone Dove features an easy-playing 24-3/4" scale maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with split parallelogram inlays, dove pickguard, and stylized bridge with wing inlays. The Dove is amazingly light aswell you wont even know your holding it in your arms. ...

bumfilter
Advantages: Beautiful sound, build quality and great price
Disadvantages: Strings, strap pin
...load of guitar at the Epiphone price.
All in all a great guitar that I would highly recommend to anyone considering buying an acoustic guitar or even this particular model, its a lot better than the guitars that can be bought elsewhere for the same or even dearer price. ...

Richness of tone
Review of Epiphone PR-100-12 Acoustic Guitar by
w1ldrover
Advantages: Beautiful tones for reasonable price
Disadvantages: none
I bought my Epiphone 12 string guitar after having a brief affair with the 6 string version. This affair was tragically brought to an end when my beautiful 6 stringed lover had her neck broken in a car crash. The tone of an Epiphone guitar is very rich - I don't know why, but it is. It could be that Epiphone are part of Gibson who are renowned for great guitars, but I can tell you that Epiphone were just as good before the association with Gibson.
... ...really 6 pairs rather than 12 individual strings with the pairs on the lower four strings being tuned an octave apart.
I endorse Epiphone guitars because they give you beautiful tones for an affordable price, with the added advantage of knowing that they belong to the esteemed Gibson family. ...
