F310
Review of Yamaha F310 Jumbo Acoustic Guitar by balsys

Advantages: Lightweight and economical
Disadvantages: not acoustic-electric is the only disadvantage

I just bought the F310 for $50 Canadian, brand new. You guys think you got a good deal! Oh yeah, this guitar is all that and some. It sounds great, plays great. It is easy to play, the4 action on it is very good. It's not a pro setting, but it is pretty close, and that makes it easy to play high up the neck. It is lightweight, therefore easier to carry around and easier on the lower back for shows. I bought it as a beater because I have more expensive ... Read review

Yamaha 12 String Acoustic Guitar
Review of Yamaha DW8-12 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar by Trev1000

Advantages: Loud clean sounding
Disadvantages: None

...more so than on my Yamaha 12 String. It's a lovely full size instrument that creates amazing volume even without an amp, and by far outdoes all the other acoustics I have had or used in the past, and I have had some nice ones. The overall design is pretty standard at first glance, but if you look a little closer, or better yet actually try one you can appreciate the really low fretting that gives a very smooth action, and in the case of my one having ...
...guitar is well shaped also, and fitted out with chrome keys that really set of the rose wood neck., And as for sound quality, it's superb. The tone when strumming or finger picking is outstanding, the resonance is in a league of it's own, and unlike many guitars on the market, it holds it's key beautifully right through all 20 frets. If you like acoustics I can't think of a better one in the same price margin, and as a final point if you want a ... Read review

yamaha does it again.
Review of Yamaha CJ12 Country Jumbo Acoustic Guitar by mc1973

Advantages: A truly brilliant guitar at a truly brilliant price.
Disadvantages: Having to buy a jumbo size hard case. (bit more pricey).

...far wrong investing in a Yamaha CJ12. this guitar is ideally suited to those who may be finding the guitar that they learned on is becoming increasingly hard and frustrating to play, maybe due to poor action or poor build quality. The CJ12 is an exact (more or less) model to the CJ120, however the 120 costs around £1000. Reatailing at about £325 this guitar feels and plays like a guitar of twice the price, also the sound quality is phenomenal. ... Read review

Ibanez IC400 Iceman - Let There Be Rock!
Review of Ibanez IC400 Iceman by helpa4eva

Advantages: Lightweight, Low Action, Awesome Shape
Disadvantages: Large Headstock.

...guitar, as, before this time, Ibanez had been making replica copies of Fender Strats and Gibson Les Pauls and such. So after a meeting between Ibanez, and another guitar manufacturer, Greco, the "Iceman" design was born. Ibanez got the distributing rights for outside of Japan, and Greco for in Japan. Thats pretty much the history. So now for the guitar itself!! I picked it up second hand from ebay for about 350 quid, although you can buy them new ...
...my OPINION (after all, this is what its about, right?) the guitar is an awesome shape. Its so different yet it doesnt look like it juts out or is a bit odd like a lot of "heavy metal" guitars (See: BC Rich Warlock) to understand what i mean. It's also lightweight, especially in comparison to guitars such as Les Pauls, which are very heavy. If i had one bad thing to say about it, it would be the size of the headstock (the bit at the top for you non-musicians). ... Read review

Great Guitar by Ibanez!! very SGish!!
Review of Ibanez AX320T Electric Guitar by Dollery1980

Advantages: Great weight, tone and price
Disadvantages: maybe too heavy for some

I purchased the Ibanez AX320T a few years back and this guitar still surprises me everytime i pick it up. When i went looking for a guitar to buy i was looking for something that felt similar to my old Gibson SG but not at the same price as at the time i didn't have the funds. I looked at the range of guitars in the same price range and so many of them felt too light (Cheap wood) and a bit amatuarish, even one of the PRS's felt cheap! then i spotted ...
...similar and then found out the sound when i plugged it in! Pure Classic Rock tone oozed out of it! :) I'm pretty sure its a mahogany body which explains the nice weighty feel and the pickups are nice and beefy like the SG but also i was surprised to find you can also get a slight strat tone!! This guitar feels so nice to play, i can play full out riffed classic rock on this that could match any SG but also get that strat sound for softer numbers, ... Read review
