12-String brother of the 56-DC
Review of Danelectro 12-String Electric Guitar by
Sean_23
Advantages: lightweight, lipstick pickups, 12 strings
Disadvantages: more strings to snap
...the 12-string brother of the Danelectro 56-DC. It differs very little from the original 6 string model in terms of design. As far as the components are concerned, these have changed with the production runs. The latest (2007) 56-DCs featured a more brushed-metal look to the bridge and tuning heads and sturdier knobs on the main body of the guitar. Having said that, the 12-string version is sturdy and reliable. Like all Danelectros the distinguishing ...

Iconic guitar made famous by Jimmy Page
Review of Danelectro 56-DC Pro Electric Guitar by
Sean_23
Advantages: Lightweight, cheap, unique
Disadvantages: Lipstick pickups can produce a thin tone
...are also unique to the Danelectro brand and offer a quality of sound removed from the usual thinness of Fender-style pickups. The Ying-Yang design of the scratchplate is also eye-catching. These guitars are also very cheap, although Dabelectro does suffer from limited production runs - I had to make do with a U2 for many years before they re-issued this guitar. Now its one alongside my Les Paul that I would never be without. ...

A Low-Price tone-beast
Review of Danelectro 56-U2 Electric Guitar by
JesusPose
Advantages: Attractive, Easy to Play, Beautiful
Disadvantages: Some Elementry design faults
This little baby was my first guitar back in '98 and god, how i loved it. It turns heads with it's retro styling, plays like a dream, and sings with a delicacy that's disarming. Although it has it's faults (the extremely cool but stiff and usless tuning pegs, for example)few guitars can match it's value for money. In fact, I think the Yamaha Pacifica 112 is the only guitar in the price range which is worth a buy next to this baby. Buy it. It will ...

Rebel 4k
Review of Rebel 4K by
ILIKEMONEY
Advantages: Great guitar for the price
Disadvantages: Some items in the box are useless
...I got my tanglewood rebel 4k when I started doing standard grade music ( I think that is GCSE level in England ) and choose bass guitar as my second instrument. I already played guitar so I thought choosing the bass guitar would be an easy option and so I started to look for good deals. I then found the tanglewood rebel series on a website I thought they looked good for the price. After seeing them I then found a rebel 4k going cheap on eBay as a ... ...you don't only get the rebel 4k bass guitar you also receive a packet of tanglewood plectrums, a tanglewood guitar strap, a guitar lead, an accessories bag, an instructions sheet and a gig bag.
The plectrums are medium to thick strength but I actually just use them for my electric guitar as I prefer playing finger bass.
The guitar strap is made of excellent quality and has tanglewood printed on it, I normally don't use cheap/free straps as they ...

Martin DM
Review of Martin DM Acoustic Guitar by
superandyp
Advantages: warm sound, For a range of styles, time proven dreadnaught design.
Disadvantages: Laminated back and sides
...and blues fingerstyle and the Martin suits my style of playing. The guitar has a solid spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides giving it a very warm sound that has improved after playing. My first impressions of the guitar was how well it was built. It had no rough edges and no other noticable imperfections. When buying the guitar i was considering a Taylor 214 and a Yamaha LL. I recomend buying the Taylor equivelent if a brighter sound ... ...that Bert Jansch gets out of his, and at this price you are paying a bit more money for the Martin heritage. After a year of owning it i have found that the top of the guitar marks easily and the body has become shiny where my arm has rested. ...
