Fanststic Piece of equipment Advantages: Sounds Great, Comfortable, Solid piece of craftsmanship Disadvantages: Hard to tune when using different gauge of strings I started out playing my Ibanez after i'd been playing around a year. It was (and still is) a great guitar to play with for many styles. Looks and Feel: The guitar has a Basswood flamed ash top, which looks great in red. Ibanez S470 Advantages: Sound and look like Joe Satriani's Ibanez JS Disadvantages: Pickups arent the best... ...each sound from all the positions of the pickups. I dont particularly like the stock pickups, but they sound amazing for the price. Trust me, if you want a cheap guitar that looks and sounds great, this is the guitar for you. Ibanez RG370DX - the all rounder guitar Advantages: Great to play, very nice tones, very durable, good value for money Disadvantages: None Ibanez RG370DX I bought this guitar around 3 months after starting to learn how to play the instrument on a guitar borrowed by a friend. I went to my local music store and played a few guitars in my price range to see what one I liked the most. The Ibanez RG370DX stuck out the most. In my opinion it feels so nice to play - the neck is smooth, the action is not too low and not too high, it is just right. I use the guitar with 9 gauge Roto Sound ... ...in my eyes, the Ibanez RG370DX is extremely versitile. It produces warm, clean sounds when plugged straight into an amp, but with the aid of an effects pedal, produces biting overdrive and crunching tones. It is also very easy for me to catch pinch harmonics when using the bridge pick ups, a fair bit of gain and a lot of volume for good measure!
