Review of G&L ASAT Classic Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar by kurt187

Advantages: Looks kewl and its a Fender
Disadvantages: Thin neck

Its about 6 years now since I first picked up a guitar and decided to play. It just seemed to come naturally to me, I loved playing it and always will for a long time. The first guitar I had was a cheap westfeild so when I finally had the money together to better my guitaring skills I invested in a Fender telecaster! Wow was I amazed the guitar seemed to play itself. The look the feel, I was overwellmed. I purchased the Fender from a store in Salford, ...
...I was paying in cash and knocked the asking price down for a high £650 to a measly £400, I couldn't resist then and jsut had to buy it. The colour is a baby blue / metallica lime green. Hard to explain it really, but it does look the bee's knees I can assure that! The neck is thin and down the back the grain of wood is shown looking like tiger scratches when held toward the light. I loved this feature think thats the one main thing of why I jsut ... Read review

Martin DM
Review of Martin DM Acoustic Guitar by superandyp

Advantages: warm sound, For a range of styles, time proven dreadnaught design.
Disadvantages: Laminated back and sides

...and blues fingerstyle and the Martin suits my style of playing. The guitar has a solid spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides giving it a very warm sound that has improved after playing. My first impressions of the guitar was how well it was built. It had no rough edges and no other noticable imperfections. When buying the guitar i was considering a Taylor 214 and a Yamaha LL. I recomend buying the Taylor equivelent if a brighter sound ...
...that Bert Jansch gets out of his, and at this price you are paying a bit more money for the Martin heritage. After a year of owning it i have found that the top of the guitar marks easily and the body has become shiny where my arm has rested. ... Read review

Epiphone G400
Review of Epiphone G-400 Electric Guitar by leeds_fan_1

Advantages: Cheap, Good Quality
Disadvantages: Bad Stock Strings

I have owned this product for half a year now and am very impressed with the quality of the product, considering how cheap it is available. It is very versatile, and is capable of playing a variety of genres, but in general mostly Rock, a la ACDC/Bon Jovi, and Blues Rock. It has fantastic action and set up, and the Pickups sound great, although i would reccomend changing the strings as soon as you get it , as the stock ones arent very good and don't ... Read review

One of the best guitars I have played.
Review of Yamaha SA2200 by Ottavia

Advantages: Good low action, beautiful to look at, versatile tone.
Disadvantages: Can fall out of tune a little too easily

Yamaha SA2200 I have owned one of these guitars now for three months and have not grown tired of playing it one bit. As it is semi acoustic it still plays loud enough unplugged for practising at home, but to really enjoy this guitar, plug it in you must! The coil tap on the tone knobs enables you to switch from humbucker to single coil sounds. This is an invaluable feature and is incredibly easy to activate. This means you can have everything from ...
...many professional players have chosen Yamaha guitars over Gibsons due to the quality and look of the instruments. Due to the versatile tone, this guitar is suitable for a lot of different playing styles. I use it for playing rock/indie/jazz and I also play in a covers band with it. If you are gigging with this guitar I would reccomend having a chromatic tuner as part of your setup as it doesn't always stay in tune as well as you'd like it. Having ... Read review

legendary epiphone gothic
Review of Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar by KB4000

Advantages: great sound
Disadvantages: need a decent amp to go with it

Well what a guitar this has to be my favourite guitar that i own. It looks great, sounds great and lets just face it its great. On stage it has never let me down it never sounds bad though this may because of my marshall amp but the two go together nicely. You may say that its the cheap version of the Gibson you would be right but it uses basicly all the same things its just the gibsons are hand made. The clean sound on this guitar is great sounds ...
...jonny b good or the classic summer of 69 obviously you can do them distorted but i thought that they sounded fantastic on clean. Well when my band wanted to do the darkness in the concert i thought i would use a much rocky guitar than this so i tried my flying v but i thought naaa tried this and the distorted sound was just incredible i manged to get the perfect sound. I have noticed that a few people have had input problems this is quite common ... Read review
