Even Buffy wouldn't slay this
Review of Maverick X-1 CBK Electric Guitar by matsu65

Advantages: Looks and tone straight from Hell
Disadvantages: Its a beast

Maverick is very much the new kid on the block when it comes to the manufacture of electric guitars. Originally formed in 1997, they have rapidly developed a reputation for producing high quality guitars without the high price associated with the major brands such as Gibson, Fender and Paul Reed Smith. Whilst all the guitars are hand-made in Korea, the company and the designs are 100% English. Trademarks of the Maverick brand are superb build-quality, ...
...huge sounds. By 1999 Maverick had produced their first prototype model, which was followed shortly afterwards by their debut production model, the Maverick F-1. This was joined in quick succession by its' stablemate the Maverick X-1, possibly the most evil-looking guitar on the face of the planet. Specifications: Body: Two Piece Centre Joint Basswood Neck: One Piece Carved Canadian Maple with reverse headstock Scale: 25in Fingerboard: AAA Grade ... Read review

There's no F in guitar
Review of Maverick F-3 HCB Electric Guitar by matsu65

Advantages: Maverick build quality and innovation
Disadvantages: Not for confined spaces

Since it's formation in 1997, Maverick has rapidly developed a reputation for producing high quality guitars without the inflated prices so often associated with household names such as Gibson and Fender. Unusually for the guitar industry, Maverick is an English company, and although all the guitars are hand-made in Korea, the designs are produced in England. In a relatively short time, Maverick has developed a reputation for superb build-quality, ...

By 1999 Maverick had produced their first prototype model, which was followed shortly afterwards by their debut production model, the Maverick F-1. Fabulous
Review of Maverick F-3 CBK Electric Guitar by pruneofdoom

Advantages: Looks and everything!
Disadvantages: Setting up....

This has got to be one of my favourite guitars of all time! I bought this back in 2003 after thrying out many guitars, gibson's, fender's you name it i tried them. Then this one caught my attention hanging on the wall and i just though no harm in trying! I was blown away! The action and feel of playing this guitar is cloer than anything to what you can get in the bedroom (if you get my drift). It plays like it has no neck infact, and with such each ...
...mince out 15 minute solos! The roll volume and tone control are another lovely touch of class and style and the tremolo system is awesome! Only slight drawbacks ive found are it takes aegs to set up (floyd rose's fault not maverick's) and the pickups are slightly muddy. Now have replaced the pickups and it is a dream come true! love it! ... Read review

Martin DM
Review of Martin DM Acoustic Guitar by superandyp

Advantages: warm sound, For a range of styles, time proven dreadnaught design.
Disadvantages: Laminated back and sides

...and blues fingerstyle and the Martin suits my style of playing. The guitar has a solid spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides giving it a very warm sound that has improved after playing. My first impressions of the guitar was how well it was built. It had no rough edges and no other noticable imperfections. When buying the guitar i was considering a Taylor 214 and a Yamaha LL. I recomend buying the Taylor equivelent if a brighter sound ...
...that Bert Jansch gets out of his, and at this price you are paying a bit more money for the Martin heritage. After a year of owning it i have found that the top of the guitar marks easily and the body has become shiny where my arm has rested. ... Read review

Epiphone G400
Review of Epiphone G-400 Electric Guitar by leeds_fan_1

Advantages: Cheap, Good Quality
Disadvantages: Bad Stock Strings

I have owned this product for half a year now and am very impressed with the quality of the product, considering how cheap it is available. It is very versatile, and is capable of playing a variety of genres, but in general mostly Rock, a la ACDC/Bon Jovi, and Blues Rock. It has fantastic action and set up, and the Pickups sound great, although i would reccomend changing the strings as soon as you get it , as the stock ones arent very good and don't ... Read review
