...comes in an extremely heavy Taylor hard case - made of 5-ply wood, which will withstand even a motorbike falling on it. (Tried and tested, lol). This guitar is not for a beginner, and would be wasted on someone who just wants to strum chords. It's a melodic guitar, and should be used for playing melody! 414 big and bold sound

Advantages: Ringing sound, playablity,
Disadvantages: Putting it down

I have a 24 track digital recording studio where I compose material. Review of Taylor 414ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar

Brilliant guitar, ultra fast and comfortable.

Advantages: Well made, plays great, smooth quick neck, comfortable guitar and low B
Disadvantages: Bad stock pickups, thin finish chips easily.

...in comparison. It's an Ibanez Prestige guitar so it’s top of the range, flawless construction, very comfortable and very easy to play with a thin smooth neck. ...you have to be very careful with it to keep it in good condition (something which I don’t mind, I babied it to near mint condition as with my other guitars). The pickups are awful, very muddy which means that you lose definition of notes, they blur in to each other under distortion when playing the low B, fortunately there is a wealth of decent 7 string pickups out there to remedy this problem. Review of Ibanez RG1527 7-String Electric Guitar

Gibson SG standard...

Advantages: Stunning looks. Amazing sound (Clean + Distorted). Amazingly Light.
Disadvantages: Newer Models can be weak at the neck.
