Epiphone Les Paul Custom Advantages: Sturdy, looks great, sounds amazing Disadvantages: stigma of being epiphone and not gibson ...to the highest quality of epiphone standards being its top of the range. Having played the cheapest gibson les paul and most expensive epiphone les paul custom i would settle for the epiphone every time, which is why i own one of those over the cheapest gibson les paul. The quality of build, i feel, is very superior to the quality of all other epiphone electric guitars and the binding and inlay is just beautiful. Very decent Sounding Guitar Advantages: Vibrant sound. Parts are easy to find Disadvantages: Heavy, bulky ...first started learning on a Squier Affinity Strat. I found at first that mine seemed heavy and sounded dull. After a good clean and plugging into a decent amp it took me a while to put it back down. The affinity gives off a nice vibrant sound when played on an amp with gain. As i am a fan of the strat stylei like the look of the Afinity Strat. Fender A great way to start learning Advantages: easy to get parts and strings,etc. Good clean sound. Disadvantages: Lots of replica's about. if buying online i would suggest going direct to fender ...sound quality right away. The fender Strat gives off a much clearer sound than the Squier Strat. The red devil, ready to rock! Advantages: Great design, tone and durability Disadvantages: 0 The guitar has a 22 jumbo fret fat Brazilian Rosewood neck (Custom ordered) with pearl block inlays. The body is Mahogany with the brazilian neck. It's a Les Paul body style with a gold Tune-O-Matic bridge. It has a volume and a tone knob for the bridge pickup and a volume and tone knob for the neck pickup and a 3 way Switch. I really love the Grover tuners, which never goes out of tune.
