As a vertically scrolling isometric shoot 'em up, it will hold few surprises for those familiar with its style of play - it has much the same ... ...parts. Whilst it's not terrible, Gunbird is a victim of its own self-imposed nostalgia trip; a trek back to the nineties that sees it looking distinctly ordinary next to its PS2 stable mates.
