It's stated to hold over the dirty/stained area for a couple minutes for hard to remove stains and after more than 10 minutes it was still not any cleaner. I also found the cloth cover did not come very clean after a wash. If it actually worked as well as it is supposed to the $100 cost would be well worth it. I personally don't reccomend this product for carpet areas although I did not try it on hardwood floors. It's supposed to work well on heavier stains and with my experience it did not even work well on a light stain.

works amazing onthe wooden floor gives shine steam cleans the floor very nicey. good use of steam to remove the spillage from the wooden floor especially when u have children.
Dislikes - not very useful on the carpets so far, does not remove your stain, does remove the more recent pressure areas but old areas due to weights will ...

Advantages: Heats to steam quickly - probably heat of kills germs as steam is hot Disadvantages: Leaves floors very, wet. End up double cleaning everything - covers poor - waste of space!
Not impressed with the H20 steam mop product, which falls far short of the detailed TV advert performance.
On hard floors it leaves them sopping wet, not so much of a problem on a matt finish amtico type floor but with laminate, there's no way you could leave it .
Ended up with twice the work, having to use my superwonder mop to wipe all excess water to leave floor with decent finish when dry.
Even on clean carpet which is just being freshened ... ...it seems to roll any dirt in almost fluff balls which then have to be vacuumed again when it dries. It seems to double the work involved whatever the surface.
The covers provided are also pretty poor in fit and quality with a tendency to come off - difficult to put back on with heat. Also they seem to fall to bits somewhat (particulary the blue micro cover which bits fall off - only used it 2 times)
Overall I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and ...

Quick review of H2o Steam MOP
Bought this awful mop from QVC. See reviews on the QVC website and I doubt you will purchase this. Left the floor very wet, water tank difficult to remove. Also left white marks on the floor. The replacement mop heads very a nightmare and did not fit properly, the demonstrator on QVC had difficulty.
After the 4th time of using the mop it broke, very little steam and I was left with cold water all over the floor. I sent it back and received a full refund as many other buyers did. ...

Quick review of H2o Steam MOP
Nice design EXCEPT - one small Phillips head screw to
hold the base. Difficult to handle. Dropped the blasted thing
about 12 times and while trying to tape it onto the head to keep it
safe until a friend could assemble - it rolled under the washer !
Difficult for an old person or man (large hands) to assemble !
Cannot seem to lift the water tank off either. Don't find the
on-off switch which was stated in one ad.
It may be returned for refund next week...have to discuss with
the distributor. ...

the mop left my floors really wet even when i altered my "technique" as suggested by the helpline. the mop cloths came away during use which was very annoying as i had to try and reaffix the cloths whilst they were boiling hot and dirty. didnt clean well into the kickspaces under kitchen cupboards. when the electrical cord split and came away from the unit we were asked to return it for inspection and promised refunds / replacements etc., but parcel ...
