Advantages: Great price, great looks, great sound! Disadvantages: Not the one if you want to do high fingerboard solos
...with a nice Rosewood fingerboard (where the strings run between the main body of the guitar and Machine heads). It looks nicely proportioned - but it doesn't have a cut out in the body.
Impressions:
Excellent choice for a novice player, adult or child, and it is also a great guitar for the more experienced player just to hump about with you when you want something to pull out and play at a party or something similar.
It has nice steel strings which give it a nice acoustic rock sound, and the strings that are supplied are light gauge, allowing for slightly more give and tolerance if like me you aren't the greatest player. So, light strings but still a great rock sound! Nice.
The notes had nice clarity right the way across the Fingerboard, and that is something you don't often find in the cheaper Acoustics around. In fact had I not known...

...The Boss ME-30 Guitar Multiple Effects Pedal is a nice bit of kit. I bought mine second hand and have had it for a little over a year now. It features 3 banks of 9 effects - which gives you access to 27 pre-set effects and 27 that you can program yourself - which is really useful for gig situations. The expression pedal is smooth, a definite advantage over some of the cheaper multi-effects pedals on the market. It has a liquid crystal type display, and my only criticism is that this can be a bit hard to read when standing or in poor light. It also has a built in tuner, and phrase trainer....

Advantages: Does everything, and then some Disadvantages: A little pricey if all you want is a straight 30 Watt practise amp
...This bass amp is tremendous fun if you simply want to play for sheer enjoyment, jamming with friends and trying out different effects, as well as being able to load midi files (backing tracks and so on) from the web and play / practise with them. It is not the cheapest 30 watt kick-back amp around, but it is packed with features and can "model" a host of different amp systems and styles, from valve amps to huge stacks, as well as add a wealth of effects (echo, fuzz, reverb and so on). Its also good for small gigs and, hey, you can always add another speaker cabinet if you need to. Its light and portable enough to take almost anywhere...me? I've really enjoyed owning one and would recommend it to anyone who fits the criteria I outlined above....
