The netbook looks and feels the part with a large 92% keyboard and brushed aluminium enclosure. giving an ease of use and quality feel.
On paper it has similar specifications to any other netbook on the market. Apart from one big difference, the HP 2130 is underpowered, by a via C7 processor. This means more demanding applications will lag and struggle to compete with the performance given by the Intel Atom used by all the competing netbooks.
For this reason I would suggest the HP 2140. The netbook keeps the same much loved aluminium enclosure and keyboard but adds a 10.1" screen and the use of the Intel Atom Processor. It has a 1gb ram upgradable to 2gb. And a 3 cell battery upgradable to a 6 cell. With a choice of XP or Vista OS. My preference lying in XP for speed, performance and compatibility with the Intel Atom. All this makes the HP 2140 the most desirable netbook on the market for both form and function.
The HP 2140 is not readily available in the UK. It can be brought from Ebay and Misco.
