A unique docking station for a unique notebook. This convenient, easy to use docking system offers port replication and simplified cable management in a space-saving design.
Advantages: Smart and tidy with excellent sound quality Disadvantages: A little heavy
We needed a new dockingstation and immediately we thought 'Bose', knowing that this was, in our opinion the best quality.
Our Ipod was one of the cheaper ones but it makes no difference to the output of sound when in this dockingstation. It is Fantastic!
The acoustics are great, base amazing and as the station is a little heavier, it is safe to place anywhere even with a toddler knocking the table every five minutes!
It has a sleek design that looks perfect in the modern home.
The sound is amazing! it has an easy to use compact remote control, which fits perfectly in your pocket. So while you are out having a BBQ in the garden and want to turn the sound UP or Down, it is simple and easy to do.
You can also adjust the volume on the station with ease.
Even at a high level, the sound comes out perfect...not distorted at all ...
Advantages: Superb Sound, Very Loud, Ideal for Ipods Disadvantages: not go to travel with, Extremely Expensive
Bose SoundDock Digital Music System
I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting
Summary:
This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these.
Pros:
This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential.
I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't get much simpler. It also runs off a wall ...
Advantages: Incredible sound from such a small unit, good build quality Disadvantages: Price
I bought this unit in November this year. There are two models, the original sound dock which I think is about £199 and the second generation one (the one I bought) which was £279 from John Lewis. The second generation one is basically the same as the first except:
a) it has a rechargeable battery
b) it has a swing out dock
c) it has an auxiliary (3.5mm) jack input
If you just want a basic model, then go for the first gen one. I got the second gen one because I thought the battery was a useful addition as is the auxiliary 3.5mm input - I have mine connected to an apple airport express that streams itunes from my laptop to my bedroom although I have used it in a friends house with my ipod too.
The sound quality is good for its size which is about the same as a hardback book and it weighs in at about 1 kilo. You can take ...
