For the course of this review, I shall be looking at the Hewlett Packard (HP for short) dual 300 print cartridge. But of course what is confusing (and for those of you who know me it doesn't take a lot to confuse me these days), is that although this dual pack hosts both a black and a colour ink cartridge - both of them are numbered as 300. So if you bought them separately, then it is very easy to get the wrong one. But that is by the by!

The colours that are included are of course in the black one, it is black. And in the colour cartridge, the three colours are yellow; cyan, and magenta - or roughly speaking yellow; red, and blue. They are only really compatible in using with HP Deskjet printers (which are the most bulk standard of all HP printers), although only on certain models - those being the D2560 and the D5560 as stated on the HP website. It is also worth noting that I have a Photosmart C4780 printer, which is the only Photosmart printer model that they are compatible in.

I will say that you can buy these ink cartridges in any shop on the High Street that sells ink cartridges, and the price is normally around the £35ish mark (according to where you go, but there is only normally a pound or two at the most in it). Buying this multipack ends up in actual fact you saving about ten pounds on buying them separately but together if you get me. Of course you can also buy them online, which will save you even more money in the long run.

They are extremely easy to install, and once they are in place then the quality is second to none. I have had absolutely no problems with the printing quality of HP, apart from the one duff one that I had bought but that was easily exchanged and HP even gave me a money off voucher!

I do a fair amount of printing for my place of work, and a lot of it is colour as well as in black and white and so these ink cartridges do get well used. But they do last me quite a long time, and I only have to change them about once every six weeks or so.

I have no problems with these ink cartridges, and if you ever find yourself buying an HP printer then I would strongly recommend that you buy one that will use these ink cartridges - happy printing!
