I bought this one on this particular occasion in my local Staples store for £18.49, although I had originally gone in there to buy one of their own brand makes which are around £5 cheaper. However, you do pay for the quality that you get and yes you do pay for the name as you would expect with anything these days! I'm not being a snob, but sometimes I do just like to be walking down the road with a top brand name in my hands (even though it may just be an ink cartridge).
But back to the quality, and this particular one is the larger one of the two 56 series that HP now do for t heir printers. But this one this size, the packet claims that this bigger size can do up to 3 times more prints than the smaller one does. I cannot state as to how true this is, as when I visited Staples on the seventh of this month this was the first time that I had seen a smaller size (and this goes for all the shops I have bought from) so therefore I can only assume that this is true or else they would not be allowed to print such a claim on full view for all to see.
For those of you who wish to know more detail, I do so believe that this particular inkjet cartridge that we are talking about can print up to around 400/450 sheets with the quality not faulting at all.
This cartridge could not be any easier for putting in, as all that one would simply do is to open up the top of the printer; remove the old one; remove the new one from all of its packaging, and insert in to the printer. A test page then comes out, in order to see if the cartridge has done well. If it has, then you click on the bit that says 'OK' on the screen that appears and away you go until your printer tells you that it is again running low on ink.
According to the side of the box, the cartridge is suitable for all of the following printers:
And so as you can see (now that I am cross eyed), this small little ink cartidge can be used for a whole host of printers. Not bad for something that holds just 19mls! And before I get done for it, I am making it well aware to you all that this came from the box - so yes, I do actually read the packaging!
As already pointed out, this cost me £18.49. Which to my mind is a little high for this, but as it is a top branded make then it is what you would expect - it is something that you know can be relied on. The price may vary a little from shop to shop, or you can get it online for a lot cheaper.
P.S. As an add-on about 4 hours later, one good thing about this cartridge is that within it is contained a recycling envelope. Therefore, not only are you adding extra monies to the company who makes it but you are actually saving the planet at the same time by having your old empty cartridge sent away to be recycled in the proper manner - and it don't cost you any extra pennies!

HP 56 BLACK INKJET PRINT CARTRIDGE You may have heard of a two car family, well I hate to say it that we are now a two printer family. My wife who has a laptop was constantly using my printer for her own work and funnily enough, my ink cartridges were constantly running out, so we decided to invest in a second printer which takes HP cartridges number 56 (black) and number 57 (colour). Advantages: The genuine cartridges are a quality product. Disadvantages: The cartridge costs a lot for what it is.
...and although I think that HP cartridges are expensive for what they are, I do feel the genuine HP cartridges give a better performance compared with the cheaper compatible versions.
This is because the compatible cartridges you can buy; after all, are used genuine cartridges that thave been refilled. So this means that the printhead (electronic bit) is being used twice.
In my mind I will always buy the original HP cartridges as long as I keep the ...
