I use this colour printer regulary in my work, and i have found it to be excellent. Its a business printer so i am not sure what it cost - but looking online i would estimate: £140 from the HP Website
What it looks like: It sits quite upright but with a gently curved front panel and a completely flat top. Coloured in beige, light and slate grey, the printer has a minimal control panel of just four buttons, two LED indicators and a 16-character LCD display. The display is hard to read, as it's partly in the shadow of its surround and, our pet gripe, could dearly use a backlight. On the front there is the HP Logo, and the printer name below HP Laserjet 1600 - the paper goes in at the tray in the bottom, and comes out the top.The function buttons are along the top.
The printer holds four cartridges - magenta - cyan - yellow- black
Quality: the quality is excellent - i am used to a different type of colour printer, at home i use a slow colour printer, and when i see how fast this one is cant be bothered using my one at home. Big difference in quality also, no matter what type of paper you use.
I have used this printer on thin paper and thick paper and ridged paper, and the quality is still unbeatable.
The cartridges can be purchased online for about £40 per cardridge colour and is easily placed inside the printer. However i have heard that this printer is not compatible with Windows Vista even with drivers, so i would be careful if you are on vista, i am using xp and works brilliant.
Hope this is come help to you
