I have had my HP 2600n for around two months now, and originally bought for small business use, though I have mostly used for personal use at the moment. On arrival I was quite shocked on the size; and as it is situated at home it doe's take up quite a chunk of my office/bedroom.
But of course being a HP product the print quality live up to the company reputation of high standards and the speed of printing is satisfactory for my needs. Unfortunately the refill cartridges (like with most laser refills) are costly, at the time of writing this I could not find one less than £50, and as there are four of them to refill, this left me thinking the only way to keep this cost effective is to have my existing cartridges refilled at a fraction of the cost, though this leaves me thinking that if you can't cover some of the cost through business, it be a little costly for the average home user. But if affordable, an ideal printer for entry level to the laser world.
The other concern with this machine is that the refill tray open downward, which leaves a large area of untouchable surface in the worst place possible. On this alone I would recommend only skill or competent people to open the cartridge area. And Anyone from HP doe's read this. "It would be a better design if the hinge for the cartridge area door was at the top there for protecting the tray on opening"
Overall though, I'm happy with this product, and I do recommend it for home and small to medium business use.
